Agree i dont get the point of the song but it's so random that is is great. Before i was on this forum i had 1 Whitlams song (No Aphrodisiac), now i have Eternal Nightcap (bought it for christmas) and 6 other songs. The Whitlams are now my 3rd favourite band (After Wolfmother and Powderfinger) Tangled Up In Blue - The Whitlams

On Triple M NOW,
"Lightning Crashes" - Live,
still incandescently brilliant 13 years after it was released.

On Triple M NOW, "Lightning Crashes" - Live, still incandescently brilliant 13 years after it was released. bollox - was great when i was an angsty 14 year old who thought myself really sophisticated and clever, not at all cool when i'm an angsty 26 year old who thinks myself all sophi... er... anyway, it's not as good as i used to think it was in my youth. though if i'm drunk up the pub and it comes on the jukebox...

Anyone catch the whitlams when they played at bluetongue stadium 6 or 7 years ago? I was there Was called "Heatwave 2000". IMO Whitlams weren't quite the right band on a day when Frenzal and Grinspoon ruled (and headlined by Killing Heidi at their 'peak'). Only about 4000 turned up so there was no Heatwave 2001 (and wankers from Point Frederick complained about the noise) More OT but... Consoled myself on our absence from the first week of the finals by catching Swanee, Choirboys, Screaming Jets and Rose Tattoo at Selinas (or was it heaven?) on Sat night ... after Mossy (free ;D) at the Florida Beach Bar on Fri FANTASTIC

Just in reply to the earlier posts, yes I am a member of FOTW and WOO once more for The Whitlams. I never knew they played at Bluetongue, would have been awesome to attend. I currently own Introducing, eternal nightcap, torch the moon, Love this city, little cloud and the best of dvd. I always sorta liked them, the first song i remember hearing was 'you sound like louis burdett. but anyway. I will not go quietly- the whitlams.
