Ha! I'm still back in the 60's ... easybeats, bubblegum music, beatles, doors, kinks, etc. I can relive my youth everyday! I'm looking forward to Hair being performed at my final resting place ... not that, the nursing home. Also love Celtic rock ... something few have heard properly done. I wish I could be at the wake. No doof doof at all! Love it!

Doof doof music today is Snopp doogy dogg fo shizzle mi nizzle and fiddy cent. Dibo's doof doof is more old school almost house dance music which i respect more than crappy gangsta's who think ther so cool. All my friends are so into Beyonce and Rihanna so they don't even know who The Whitlams are. I see you have the same problem as me can't afford the expensive old albums lol.

Eh. I hate doof doof. especially the assholes who drove past the school when you're trying to to 'simultaneous pythagorus substitutional elimination replacement. or whatever it was. Although, I love the fatboy slim song 'weapon of choice' and the video clip is brilliant too, i love that guy whos in joe dirt, yeah i dont know his name. phhft.

Chirstopher Walken. and youve just contradicted yourself.
Dibbos "doof doof" is actually very respectable music. Faithless are one of the greatest alt(yes i say ALTERNATIVE, not doof) dance/trance/techno groups to grace this planet.
Broaden your taste past the Whitlams and buy a Pink Floyd record.

oh, and on the doof - different music for different moments is my thing. when my folks are over for a bbq lunch and a coupla glasses of red i'll whack on something like kruder dorfmeister. even my grandma seems to like it. very chilled and very smooth.
when i used to be writing essays late at night for uni, i'd whack on a gatecrasher mix or some ministry of sound mix - beats, tempo, keeps me writing. when it's 2am you need some tempo to work fast and get to bed.
when i'm firing up before football, something like some older fatboy slim or even better, the prodigy's classic 'music for the jilted generation' are just the thing to get the pulse racing and the muscles twitching.
but then i listen to a bunch of other stuff as well, from bjork to wolfmother, from ben harper to radiohead. it's all mood dependent.

Does owning Led Zepplin and Led Zepplin 2 count as broading my horizons. but then i listen to a bunch of other stuff as well, from bjork to wolfmother, from ben harper to radiohead. it's all mood dependent. Exactly. music is a all about finding something that relates to what your mood is at the time and the emotions that you are feeling. Most of the time i'm a rock kinda guy ( Wolfmother, Cold Chisel, Arctic Monkeys etc) but sometimes i'll listen to The Whitlams, sometimes Crowded house, sometimes The Presets and sometimes 12th man. all depending on how i'm feeling and what kinda day i've had. Presets - Are You the one

Dibo - have a listen to a band up and coming called Midlake. their new album Trials of Van Occupanther is great, sounds alot like Fleetwood Mac meets Radiohead meets Grandaddy

Hector the rat - Pat drummond Such a great song, from some 'Live At The Rest' album.
"I learned about love in the back of the back of a car I learned about faith from the fall of the cards I learned about life from the look in the eye of a rat on the chopping block." 'They never found out who buried the rat or who burned down the lab, that thursday after school..'
