Went to Newcastle game last Friday with a mate, and a friend of his from Melbourne. On way home we popped into Belmont 16ft Sailing Club, and left there at 1:00 AM. With two of us half tanked thoughts drifted towards KEBABS ;D ;D. My mate has lived on the Coast for about 10 years, and me for 4. We couldn't think of anyplace within reasonable driving distance (that knocks out Hornsby Kevrenor ;D) where we could get a Kebab after midnight on a Friday night. The friend from Melbourne was most unimpressed (what sorta place is this? No kebabs after a few beers? ) So the call goes out to anyone who has an idea of where to get a decent Kebab at these hours, and not end up having to visit Hospital casualty with food poisoning afterwards ;D There must be someplace on the Coast that sells a decent Kebab after midnight?

Kebabs! Can't stand them ... always given one when covering Sydney Crescent Star - very over-rated (club and kebabs)!
Down our way we do Yum Cha and Korean BBQ!

I am on an unyielding mission to find a yeeros in Australia like I had in Athens one night - it was perfect. The meat was wonderful and the bread so delicious.
My search is still continuing.
Pete, there was (don't know if still is) an awesome kebab shop in Wickham, Newcastle. It's called "Eeros, the King of Yeeros".
Lives up to its name.

There's a Kebab shop in Hornsby that claims to have the best kebabs in Sydney, pretty bold claim I think!

Yeah Chris, there's a kebab shop opposite the train station at Hornsby that does a pretty mean kebab, but we weren't driving down to Hornsby that night. Also we weren't gunna stay in Newcastle any longer than we had to, so the eeros at Yeeros or whatever Mick was on about, was out of the question. The Umina one would have been handy if it was open at that hour.

I had a kebab from the Hornsby one a couple of weeks before Christmas. I was on my way home from the Christmas party between trains after the North Shore train took longer than I expected. It was great at the time and I nearly went back for another as I had almost an hour to wait, but the next day was very naughty. IMO they maybe the best kebabs in Hornsby but not Sydney!
