Does anybody know much about the new National Rugby Union Competition? I believe the competition starts in August and the Central Coast are fielding a team called "Central Coast Rays" out of Bluetongue stadium. Your all probably thinking what i am. August start, National rugby comp, bluetongue stadium, a-league 3 starts in august, mariners home ground, FIELD CONDITION?  Does anybody know much about it?? |

My source tells me that K. Beale has signed for the team!
Anyway, the Central Coast is not a rugby union area. Not enough private schools up here.

Did a quick search and came up with this: Comp goes from August to October, for 8 weeks. I would assume 4 games to be held at Bluetongue.
As for the affect on the ground condition I wouldn't be too worried. I would think they could play a Mariners game, a Union game and a Thugby League every week and the ground would still hold up ...

With only 4 games it's not a huge problem.
The rays won't be too crap, but nothing great.

I agree NS, but this is a step to stop being so big a joke. Then again Australian Rugby is a joke atm.

naturally call me greedy, but i want our goalposts at bluetongue all year round - i dont wanna see bloody rugby/league posts up there |
