I thought i would set up this thread so that people could comment on any good coaching/Training DVD resourses they have come across. Anyone who has bought the odd training/Coaching DVD would probably know that there is an awful lot of garbage on the market as well as some excellent resourses (i have both strands in my collection).
DVD's that i have which a worth a wrap are; 1) SIS Modern Defending - Parts 1,2 & 3. These are probably the best DVD's i have come across for teaching defending. The three part series cover individual, group, and team tactics for defence. They involve the German under 16 & 17 youth teams. Well worth getting although you will probably need a de-zoned DVD player as i found it almost impossible to get these DVD's zoned for Australia.
2) GSM Sports - Small Sided Games Available from the CCF website and the world game site. Again i thought that this was a great DVD for small sided games and well worth getting.
DVD's i thought were garbage; 1) SLS Zonal Defending - Some parts of this DVD were OK but generally the whole DVD consists of some yank's commentary on a German v England International on the finer point of each teams defending. I think it was a poor teaching tool. Others may have a different opinion.
Has anyone else come across any good or bad ones??
