Adz, Celery, how is that website coming along? Hopefully progress is smooth!
Just thought I'd throw this out there for a website feature- Marinators A-League tipping comp.
I'd be happy to take care of all the recording of peoples tips and scoring them etc, really it could be run through the forums, but maybe to ensure its Marinators playing (assuming the winner gets a little something at the end) you get a code or or password or something when you buy the next run of Marinators shirts. Comments/ideas?

Tipping Comp sounds like a good idea WT! There is a site you can use to get one up and running.....will have a hunt for it!

Guys and gals, www.back-of-the-net.comwhich a few of us on this forum are involved with, had an NSL tipping comp last year, run thorugh Oztips. We will have one this year too, but if you want a comp just for the Marinators web site you can see what was done linking to it from here: spirit.webcity.com.au/AFN/Misc/Tipping2003_04.htm?usernum=1442931710&cpv=1Kevrenor Adz, Celery, how is that website coming along? Well that probably looks like the way to go...the only issue would be where a prize for the winner would come from, if its open to anyone who reads our website/forums rather than paying customers/people who contribute in some way.

If we had a '1st prize' from an independent source (leaguesy?) like the dvd player then it wouldn't matter who joined really. We could state that it's 'marinators only' to deter all and sundry, but whoever joins, joins.

Yeah I can think of a few fiddly ways to get around it, that might be a bit annoying, I'd really to see how the webite pans out because if it wouldnt be a feature on there it may as well just be a thread here where people guess each week and someone keeps track

The website is progressing nicely, so no need to panic . There is a bit of coding to be done to customise the thing but most of it is straight out of the box, just upload and flick a switch. The tricky bit is making it *not* look like it has just been uploaded and "switched on". Things like tipping comps need to be coded otherwise a fallback like oztips could be used but I would prefer to keep everything together. Having said that, there are no plans on having another forum, this one is great and if it ain't broke... yeh.

I was going to mention Oz Tips - you can set a password so we could make it Marinators only. I run tipping comps for the 3 egg ball codes on another message board I am on so I wouldn't mind taking it on if you guys wanted the weight taken off your shoulders.

No egg ball shite on our site please! Would be cool to have some football tipping though.
