Media Release for immediate release
Marinators to cheer on Rhinos Central Coast Rhinos v Sydney Bears 5pm 12 June 2005
The Central Coast Mariners’ own unique supporters “The Marinators” will be out in force this Sunday to cheer on the Central Coast’s other national sporting team The Central Coast Rhinos in their ice hockey match against the Sydney Bears.
The Marinators will be on hand to sing and cheer the Rhinos on in their important derby against Sydney.
Spokesperson for “The Marinators” Brett Taylor said it was a natural choice to go and support the Rhinos.
“They are our other national sporting team. With the recent decision of the NRL to snub the Central Coast we should be as supportive of our few national teams as much as possible”.
“The Marinators wanted to get together after their successful debut at the World Club Championship and the next Mariners match is still two months away. We wanted to keep the camaraderie going we have built so far while keeping our vocal chords ready for the Mariners.”
“Given how well the noise reverberates at Erina Ice World the atmosphere should be pumping and hopefully we can beat our southern neighbours”.

Nice one,
Did you send it the Rhinos website? At least their fans wouldn't be totally surprised to see us that way.

I don't even know if things have been finalised between the two groups. When I speak to Ben I will let you know

I don't know how it goes down your way, but the ice hockey matches I've been to don't appreciate swearing, which is understandable I suppose, being an enclosed venue - no escape for the little un's. Be prepared to tone it down in the language stakes, so go for volume for max effect!

Yeah the reason we are there is not just to meet up but to put a good impression on more coasties.

I was thinking about the swearing recently for the ice hockey actually, after seeing the pictures that WT posted I agree it's a good idea to cut it out on the day! We want to leave a good impression for both the Central Coast and football in general.
