Went to see the trophies today they'e a damn site better than the ones we used to have when I was a kid (basically the same tower with a different character depending on the sport)
They look bloody good and we as Marinator can be proud of them.

Question for Management though how do you select the MOM Player of year Goal etc?
Does Mick in His Drunken hase chose one or is a Drunken poll in Kendall's after the game?
Suggestion?
Three players selected by p[anel of 5-10 persons 3,2,1 points given every game, points accumulate for season as wellas being used for game by game.

I reckon it's gotta be a poll. 5 players to vote for.
Whoever has the most votes wins MOM, as well as the 3 points.
Runner-up get's 2 points and 1 point for the 3rd highest votes out of the 5 players.
Points accumulate and Player of the Year is thus decided.IMO.

polls on here are a good idea my only concern would be spastics from other clubs coming on and throwing the results out.

trolls won't influence it - they won't care
end of year trophies will be done on a 3-2-1 basis by private messaging me at the end of the season

Comments though: 1. Needs to be up by next day - Maybe if MM has commitments he can flick it to someone else who can - on a week by week basis. 2. As the polls can cope with over 11 options (?) we should not presume who is in the running - We just put up ALL players who took part. 3. The Tuesday close is I suppose to give it to them at training Wed. Will this continue, esp. with MM away for some time. Ideas? 4. Adz - could there be a spot on the web site (menu column) for the poll? - telling people how it works etc. and sponsor - with the link put in by the person loading the poll to the forum - once they've done it? Does that make sense? |

Agree with keeping it on the forum for MOM as for goal of the year I dont think many will surpass spennies cracker.

We should definately have all players on the poll I would prefer this as well. Everyone looks at different aspects of a game. Defence, Attack and Midfield. All players listed in the poll gives everyone to choose their MOM. (Benchies I think not, unless they come on and play a minimum of 20 mins) |
