Hey guys, I'm a long time listner first time caller. I just wondered if you guys were dissapointed in the Marinator turn out on the weekend? You guys are fantastic but it looked like half of your crew had called in sick.
Just a question also, are you guys working on any new material, from an outside perspective the cohesion doesnt seem to be there and hearing the same 3 or 4 chants 20 times a night is almost as annoying as 4000 thundersticks, please dont take offence but critics said the beatles were crap.

Appreciate the comments mate.
I think I can speak for all of us there that we were disappointing with the bay 16 turnout. The core group that was there did give 200% to make up for others who didn't show or weren't getting into it. If a year ago someone had shown me footage of bay 16 on sunday however I would still be extrememly happy with what we've got. We've set our standards high in pervious games here's hoping we can match them soon.
The fact that the cohesion isn't there is a perfect sign that we ARE singing new songs. As usual there were 4-5 brand new ones on sunday that a few people started and the rest of the group gradually caught onto as they were sung again. We've got a brand new side with lots of fans from different areas, some (like me) who haven't been a vocal supporter at football before. We're getting better each game so give us time and eventually we'll have 100 songs that everyone knows.

The hard part about new songs is, if someone try's something new they get a dickhead chant, even if it was a decent chant. So I'm sure some people will be reluctant to give something new a go. There were a few silent spots too, especially when we weren't playing that well in the first half. Having said that it was great coming home in the 2nd half when Auburn was stiring everyone along to give it all you've got and get everyone in the bay standing and chanting.

I think it's safe to say that every bay had a poor turnout, I really felt for the club and I know they were all gutted. However there was positives, which we have discussed already. In relation to the singing yes we did try a few new songs, if people have an idea just shout it out and if it catches on it catches on. We need to record some songs for the web site to make it easier for everyone.

Yea like I said in Bay Watch - it's dissapointing but it's better then what I would have imagined when I joined these forums.
