Def. yellow with navy print I like one side "YELLOW ARMY", cause there's the song and it just says a lot Reverse "MARINATORS.NET". It identifies it as a Marinator article and (like the banner) there's nothing wrong with advertising the website. It's not like plugging a sponsors product.
It should have "MARIN....(something)" on it but perhaps actual "MARINERS" should be left with the official merch.
I want one (even as only a "friend of the Marinators" who doesn't have the shirt and pays "visits" to Bay 16). I do consider myself to be "yellow army" and I'd be pleased to be plugging the site.
You might find that (especially because they're yellow not the royal? blue) there's a wider demand for them, if other fans had a way of buying them (? at games, info on the website)
Only bastard thing is they're woolly SCARVES and A-League is hot SUMMER. Got to admit Sydney had a great visual going when they're all held up together.

hmmm, good pont, scrarves dont do well when its 40 degrees, but like that wuld stop me from buying one, and if we were to get 'lawrie mckinnas yellow army' or 'mariners till i die' should you first consider how many characters you could fit on them first?

Who cares if it's hot-you don't have to wear it just hold it up when chants are going etc! I also remember 1 or 2 games where is was actually a bit cold and a scarf would have come in handy!

Guys, I am in the process of looking at prices for these to finally happen, we have a longer than hoped for off season so depending on price and units we would have to order am going to certainly try and get these for next year. So, is there any ideas people have for how they should look or say APART from whatever has already been discussed on here in the past? And before anyone asks, yes I have approached the club and got their ok to go ahead After reading the thread again I personally like MARINATORS or CC MARINERS on 1 side and YELLOW ARMY on the other.

for my 2.2c...
basic look: yellow for sure - i love the stripy look but i'm not sure how we'd really make it work with words printed on them. that said, if the club's going for yellow scarves (which i keep hearing they are) then it might be a nice point of difference.
words: marinators one side, yellow army the other
other: skull and crossbones is cool if it's possible
colour: the club colours are yellow and navy, if we could go with that, then that would be great, otherwise royal blue can suffice.

, if the club's going for yellow scarves (which i keep hearing they are) not anymore - scarves will be mainly navy (a darker blue than before) with yellow wording. yellow army for sure let me know if u want help designing it deej, as you know ive done aussies on tour ones before, if you want a sample let me know your help will be much appreciated

i think a similar scarf to the "aussies of tour" would look great, with skull and bones in replace of the boxing kangaroo.

yes i agree with with DJ for cc mariners or marinators on 1 side and yellow army on the other.
it would also be a good idea to go with keensy's idea with the skull and crossbones replaceing the aussie flag.. i saw in the thread early on someone suggesting to put "lawrie mckinna's yellow army" on the scarve. 2 bad things about doing that: 1. "lawrie mckinna's yellow army is to long for a scarve. 2. i am sure the marinators wouldnt really want to spend alot more money on making new scarves IF lawrie was either sacked or he left.

I like the idea of Marinators on one side, yellow army the other. If a skull and cross bones was to go on the Marinators side, maybe an army helmet on the yellow army side?
