Look at people like DJ's "joined" section in their forum name area...we were est. in 2004!  Nah they look awesome. Maybe down one end instead of marinators.net it could say "15 - 16 - 17"? Or perhaps "Northern Concourse" (with northern on top of concourse)? Just and idea that came to mind? Agree with 2004 Brett! Don't agree with 15-16-17 ... time in 2007/08 to outgrow the narrow bay thing ... almost as many marinators outside the bays now as in there! It is called growth and maturity. We are taking over the stadium .... muhahahah! Ok, just an opinion. |

The last one looks great I like the fact it has Central Coast mariners on it, and Pride of NSW, but it is still distinctly a Marinators Scarf

Probably a good idea to double check the skulls bit. A lot of people don't like the skulls/pirate theme on the site but they don't speak up about it, they just grumble about it after a couple of beers in the back of bay 16  |

However we go with the majority and having a skull and bones wouldn't stop me buying a scarf. |

Spinning above the head of course it is a blur anyway. |

I like that last one and I gotta say, I'm a skull n bones fan. I think it gives us a kind of identity amongst all the other supporter groups. I also dont mind keeping with the Marinators 'pennant' that we currently have, but as DJ said, majority rules. Good Work NS ! |

Bit late for that DJ, there's been big buck's spent already on the banner that hangs off the FOX scaffolding that has the Marinators "flag" logo blazened across it. Why would we want to change it know ? some people have been saying they would like a new logo, so before scarves were designed or ordered it's best to make sure the majority are happy with it. Personally I don't mind the logo and would be happy to keep it the way it is. I'm just not a huge fan of pirates in general, it's just an opinion! I think having the skull and bones on the scarves look great, better than having it plain. |

I think the flag logo could perhaps be better and at some stage we'll probably adopt something a bit fresher, as all organisations and companies do. Not to say I don't mind the current one and am happy for it to be on the scarf.
I'm with Lou that I think the s&b's gives us a bit of an edge, it's something a bit different, a bit of character, and kind of fun and cheeky that people seem to like. I wouldn't really want "Give me an Aaaaargh!" all the time in the bay but in terms of branding I like it. The scarves look farken great!

Ok is everyone happy to have this as the final design for one side? once we have all settled on one side we can move onto the other - have incorporated the flag onto the design thanks to adz for supplying the skull and flag  p.s: the est. 2004 bit was removed cos thatd be best on the other side that says marinators with the flags |

I notice it's a lot of the regular faces on this thread, and i hate to 'butt-in' on a marinators thread, but...
kevrenor suggested earlier having the pirate theme on one side to give people a choice.
would it work to have the pirate logos on the 'Marinators' side, and on the 'yellow army' side, replace them with something military like a helmet or a tank (to go with yellow army)
just a suggestion - work with it or drop it if you like. (2 themes on one scarf??)

Something like the greatest war time leader of the 20th century. Winston Churchill.  I spent 21 minutes in paint fixing this pic so that the union jack in the background was yellow and blue and looked perfect. Then I realised that I don't know how to post pics not obtained from the web. Trust me, it looked smashing. Floss, We will never have military themed pictograms to allude to the army part of Yellow Army. We just use the word because the song goes that way. It's not an aspect of who we are. We could perhaps allude to Naval forces. Mariners - Navy. That's a link. But that is a dangerous path to travel. For a likely destination is The Village Peeps song "In the Navy" a place none of us, save Tiger, want to end up. A banner I would like to see made because of its naval significance and aesthetic appeal is a yellow and blue version of the Japanese Naval Ensign.  Someone creative knock one of these out as a flag/ standard it would look brilliant. Remember 16 rays for naval. 8 rays for army. |

Perhaps remove the marinators logo from this side and just have it on the other side instead of the skull n bones? or do people want skull and bones on both sides? |
