Morning, we will be showing the match against the NZ Knights on Sunday 19th November in the Kendall. The doors will be open from 2.30pm. As usual it will be a family day, so all underage with adult supervision are welcome. The lucky door prizes are the following 1. Junior Australian World Cup training tracksuit 2. Hamper 3. Football As this is an important game for us to stay in touch I'm sure we'll get a good crowd. The Mariners are now asking how many turn up to watch, so the word is getting out there. ;D As usual please feel free to ask any questions. Thanks Char

Doors open 2.30pm (kick off 3pm or 4pm our time?) Looking forward to this one. A good game and healthy win would be ideal coming into the 'home run'! See you all in the Kendall!

Will open the room at 2.00pm, but the bar service will not start until 2.30. You will be allowed to bring drinks from the other bar into the Kendall. I forgot that at your age you need a longer warm up time Lou Charles CCLC

Looks like our team needs time to warm up! So far our final pass has been very poor, despite so much possession. HT 0-0

halftime - and I actually think knights might be outplaying us slightly. They've shown better attack than us anyway. I though McMaster was unlucky to cop that yellow card - particularly how straight after Bunce flew in with a mid-air elbow into our player's back, rather inconsistent there, can only assume the ref didn't see Bunce's raised elbow (quite possible)...though McMaster may have been lucky not to get a 2nd YC for kicking the ball away after an offside.
Our attack doesn't seem to be getting the support needed, that's what's really letting us down this match. There's very little activity around the box, few penetrating runs or balls.
0-0 at FT is likely....but I don't think it'll happen. NZ have looked like scoring more than us - but that was the same last time we played them, they had a lot of chances.

MORI!!!!!!!!!! 1-0, 1-0, 1-0.... and about 25 minutes left. Hope we extend his contract as cover for O'Grady, and also for now that we keep, or even extend, this lead.

1on1's aren't always that easy.....they're easy to stuff up, they get missed so easily, but that was a pretty terrible miss....I think Hutcho forgot where the goal was, that was a surprising miss. I think the fact that Mori slotted his away so easily makes Hutcho look even worse!
There were a few chances totally blown, but at least they had a sense of humour about them. Smile and get on with it is the way to do it!
