As if we didn't already know this, but MarinerMum turned up to the xmas parade with 3 christmas trees (painted yellow!) blue tinsel, yellow and blue streamers a couple of kids, flags etc ("and a partridge in a pear tree..." ) Solid effor Mum, we all love you! Also, thanks to Auburn for leading the charge, the bananas for making it a special day for lots of kids who actually got to give them high fives! the drummers for keeping us all in time, marinermick for driving and the rest of the marinators who turned up to do the yellow proud! Be proud of yourselves for making the effort and representing the majority.

Yes, thanks to all who came out (34), and those who did that extra bit that made it a success.
Another top effort by Mariner Mum, thanks to LouMacari, to the ''Auburn'' family with the big man not at all well, and the Bananas in their carry your own sauna suits, the dummers, Yellowcake and crew, etc, etc.
We seemed to be well received, and on the way back to the station through the arcade a stall holder called me over and thanked the Marinators for their efforts every game. I thanked her, suggested she join us, and said I'd pass it on, which I have!
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole morning .. from the train trip up along the sparkling waterside, morning coffee with MarinerMick, the gathering of yellow, the parade, the noodles picked up for the trip back, and another superbly lovely train trip home! Life is good ..

I had a great morning - the grass has still the yellow look. Pirate treasure for the kids worked really well except I kept having to run to catch the group.NB: No boiled lollies. Next year we will improve, thanks to everyone who helped make it a good time. One Christmas tree is now in the butcher shop in Gosford up near the TAFE (can't remember the name of that shopping centre).
