A big thanks to Auburn for organising this year's Marinators golf day. Sorry a few of the originals were on the bench injured but a great day was had by all. The standard of golf is improving from some of last year's beginners and I expect by next year they will be pros ;D. Looking forward to the next one. Mick, Bearinator took over your role as ace putter in the team. You may have a fight to get back in .

Thanks Ursus. A fun day had by all.
.....and the winners were: Ursus, Chelsea Mick, Bearinator and Auburn by one shot over Nero, Douges and Tiger.
Nero, Douges & Tiger were helped by the fact that Fish departed after nine holes to catch Kariong-Fisher Airways to Sydney. They tore up the back nine and had a six-footer on the last to square it up. Bad luck and very well played lads.
The winners were carried manfully by team captain Ursus and, especially on the back nine, Chelsea Mick. Bear made BIRDIE on the first and had a great day with the putter.
Thanks also to our hosts at Toukley Golf Club. It was nice to play this challenging course when it wasn't underwater.
Hope more of you can join us for Edition III, scheduled at this stage for the June Long Weekend in 2007. Some of us are keen to have a hit regularly on Long Weekends & some Sundays, so keep an eye out on the forum for updates.
I would also like to have a country Golf & Wine weekend next year, taking in courses and wineries at my home course in Orange and in Mudgee.
Regards,
AM
