Central Coast 1 (4p) - Adelaide United 1 (5p) AET 19/08/2006 Adelaide United defeated Central Coast Mariners at Gosford tonight, in a penalty shoot-out after extra time saw them still locked 1-1, to take the PreSeason Cup in front of 10,463 fans. |

Grrr Petrie missing that penalty. I was devastated even though i was only seeing the result through the a-league website's text commentary. i still havent seen the miss yet.
can someone tell me how he missed? was i saved or "Beckhamed"?

Veart scored a soft goal after about 5 or 6 mins, we battered them for the rest of the game but were only able to grab the 1 goal.
A sadly depressing portent of things to follow

He took one after kwassies first penalty miss. We got a 2nd penalty in that game. But since Kwassie has taken them all

Gumps drilled a 20 yard equalizer with about 10-15 mins remaining. |

Veart scored a with bicycle kick, and gumps scored by running at the defense from the outside of the box - the last time any midfielder ran at the opposition and scored in the season.
