After watching the semi tonight at leagues, and there being a quite reasonable mariners fans attendance. I am wondering if there will be a mariners grand final gathering at the leagues? There was probably 15 or so of us tonight, and think we could get a good number there for the final, and would have a good night. IMO

I will speak to Charles on Monday to see what we can arrange. Maybe one last 'hurrah' for the 06/07 season with a raffle etc? Will post details as soon as I have sorted something.

I'm not real fussed on who wins now but i'll be there I'm keen for a 3all draw at the 90 5all draw at 120 then shoot out where muscat will miss(over the crossbar) and lose the game. I'd pay to see that

Charles,
Thanks for arranging the big screen.
And, remind me, how many tests did the English win, again? Was it 3, NO, 2, NO, 1, NO, was it, gasp, ZERO?
Oh, we got 5 and they got none, doo-dah, doo-dah!!!
Regards,
AM

One-Day cricket is like a one-night stand; a lot of fun, then you forget all about it.
Tests are life; the rest is mere detail.

All we need now is for someone to adjust the TVs in the Club so they show players in the right proportions. I'm sick and tired of short, fat players with oval footballs.
I think the big screen only shows 4:3, so the players are the right shape, but we then miss the action at the sides. Anyone there last week in the Kendall Room with its 16:9 TVs would have noticed that the ball was missing off to the right in some shots. Charles told me a few weeks ago that it was all set up by the Fox people, so it should be right.
It's not just the CCLC - I haven't seen a pub or club that's got it right yet. Or is it just me?

That must have been the Rugby League that you have been watching... they are all short and wide with an oval 'footy'. I'd say it is in the right proportions.

Yeh... couple of the boys there too, including Hutcho; with an attempt to hide from any potential abuse for a few shanks during season 2, wearing a Where's Wally? shirt.

pity we had to watch from the smaller big screen as the projector broke down the night before LOL ;D, Charles heads off overseas and the place starts fallen down around their ears. On the flip-side, it's the right time of the year for us to have the big screen die in the arse, it was a piece of shit/poor quality picture, and hopefully now Charles will have due course in recommending to the CCLC board for an upgrade of it. Just in time for next years away games.
