This is still very much in the planning stages but Lokomotive Cove (SFC) has so far shown strong interest to play the match(s) and same with AOT FC.
AOT FC is the Aussies on tour team who play friendlies whilst touring to support the Socceroos. So far we have played in Germany last year against German teams, in Brisbane against Den United, in Newcastle against the scum *cough - squadron* and have matches pencilled in thailand for the asia cup already as well.
We'd like to pass on an invitation to Dinamo Marinators (or just a bunch of CCM lads).
Also what would be a good name for the mini tournament
something like "Aussie Challenge Cup" just a thought, some other names?
If we can get all 3 teams going was thinking of a format something like this:
10am - 10.45am
Dinamo Marinators v AOT FC
11am - 11.45am
AOT FC v Locomotive Cove
12pm - 12.45pm
Locomotive Cove v Dinamo Marinators
The top 2 teams (based on points and goal difference) meet in the final
1pm - 3pm
Final (Full 90 minute match)
3pm - 3.10pm
Penalty shootout (Loser final v 3rd) - for Second place
3.10pm till whenever (probably 4pm'ish)
Drinks
Then onto Olympic park for pre-match drinks/festivities
thoughts?

Yep i would be keen for it, seeing the 2nd is a Saturday i can play (ah good ole friday night games), should be a good day, great idea northensprit, good stuff, Locomotive would be out for revenge as well

I'd be keen, you guys wouldn't want me playing but as usual happy to help out with anything needed with the Marinators or the event as a whole.

i reckon that would be fun. and if i meet dinamo in the ESFA in the interim, i can try to take out as many of them as i can.
that said, there's only one of me, and more of them... :/

cant be rescheduled cos the aot boys are from all over australia and dont get together often... if it cant be done doesnt matter we can just play a 90 min match with lokomotiv cove i just thought a mini comp woulda been a blast, not to worry!

reschedule?...the whole point of the day seems to be doing it as a lead up to the match when all parties would be in the same place and ready for football. it's either then or never.
