We have managed to secure a 22 seater bus to go to the trial games for Wed 13th June and Tue 19th June. Cost will be only $5 each.!return, per trip This bus is courtesy of the CCLC as part of the benefits that come with being a 'Sub-Club' so it will be reserved for the first 22 'Marinator Club' members who want to go. There will be plenty more benefits for Marinator Club members throughout the year too !(If you intend joining the Marinators club this coming Sat night from 9pm at the leaguesy, you can put your name down here from NOW) Depart times will be: 13th = 6.00pm sharp (at the CCLC) 19th = 5.00pm sharp (at the CCLC) Pete the bus driver has generously donated his talents to drive the bus, so once we pay for fuel, the change will be going into the Marinators fund. (Thanks Pete! ) I am putting me down for a seat on both trips, so now there is only 21 seats left!

for the manly game - isn't there some bus (STA - pete would know) that runs out that way?
for the spirit game - meeting a bus at epping would be awesome, but i can understand if that's completely impractical. i think there are private buses that serve that area too.

also, we should try some new songs and stuff at these games - no need to worry if we cock them up completely, just give them a spin, amend as required to make them work etc...

For those who work in or close to the City CBD, here are some Sydney Buses services that can get you to the games. Further info can be obtained by going to sydneybuses.info website. Trip 1 - 13 June vs. Spirit To Christie Park, Macquarie Park From City: Get to Clarence St. Wynyard (nr. to Margaret St.), catch 288, 292 bus services to Macquarie Centre. Arrives at Stand 4 Macquarie Centre, walk along Talavera Rd. to Christe Rd. and you're there. Allow at least 1 hour for the bus trip - it's peak hour remember. You could also take up Mick's suggestion and get to Epping Station and catch similar services to Macquarie Centre.
Trip 2 - 19 June vs. Manly To Cromer Park, South Creek Rd., Cromer From City: Get to Carrington St. Wynyard catch E79 from Stand 'G', disembark bus at Fisher Road North near to Grover Ave. Walk along South Creek Rd. to Cromer Park approx 416m OR. catch L80 from Stand 'C', disembark bus at Campbell Pde. near to Buzzano Place, walk to Cromer Park from there approx 1032m. or see if bus stops at Parkes Road, close to South Creek Rd, which will probably be closer to Cromer Park. Both these services have heavy passenger loads and you may not be able to get on the first one that arrives.

Put me down for a ticket for each thanks.. a Pacific Hwy pickup from the top of the street will be fine thanks Street name and suburb please, Blackadder, and I'll see what can be done. People, please noteThe bus will be travelling in the opposite direction to the Sydney peak hour flow, mostly, and the lane allocations and traffic lights phasing will be against us. I would like to limit the number of pickup points, if that's allright with everyone, and turn off the Pacific Highway onto Ryde Road (for 13/6) and Mona Vale Road (for 19/6), to avoid the congestion from Gordon thru to Chatswood along the Pacific Highway. If you must insist upon pickups in the heart of Chatswood, be aware that it's going to slow things up. Ultimately, it's what you folks want, I'm just the driver and I'll be happy to pickup wherever you think is fair enough. The departure times form Gosford do allow a bit of leeway with the pickups and unexpected traffic congestion etc. but in my experience, passengers who come along for the full trip would wanna see a football match via the most direct route.
