i'll be there but doing radio of course
warning about jetstar flying to melbourne - it arrives at avalon which is a long long way out of the city
transfers do exist for around $20 i think
bus transfers from avalon or tullamarine drop you off right next to telstra dome at spencer st station

I'm keen to get to this match too. Have holidays for this weekend, just gotta see what bills come in before then, before booking. Is this game going to be played at Telstra Dome, for sure? Isn't it close to the AFL finals series, and wouldn't a Melbourne AFL team have first choice at the Dome if they had a semi to play? Also would like to know which area of the Dome the away fans go to? I understand the Melbourne Tards can be quite vocal against the visitor's supporters and would hate to sit in a spot that would have me getting heaps of abuse and possibly worse.

This match will be played at the Telstra Dome. As regard to the bay which is in a safe area. There is only 1 side of the dome that does not hold a supporter group of some sort and that is the around the bay 20 area. This is where the Roar supporters were when i was last at the telstra dome.

The South End(which happens to be geographically north) where more than likely you'll get given a police/security escort in and out

Last time we watched a game in Melbourne, they sold us supporters tickets, told us where to sit, then we got to the assigned bay and it was filled with Victory supporters.
There was no way in hell we were sitting in the middle of that. That is when luckily Andre came to our rescue.

I've had the misfortune of being stuck next to the well 'ard South End mob (albeit at Olympic park), and it pretty much goes like this. We're not Cove-ites, and we're not Barrel Boys. We'll be fine....... just exercise common sense and keep it friendly, if any one dickhead tries to go to far, just alert security straight away - I understand the TD security is fair good at what they do (with their German uniforms and the unified marching and all).

Whoever drew up the graphics for that map of Telstra Dome is a true 'tard Forza! Platinum (reserved) are coloured PINK & MVFC Gold tix are coloured.....wait for it....platinum! Also notice that away supporters are right near Gate 8 in order to allow a quick exit if Muscat gets red carded in a dodgy decision and/or the away team wins.

Nat and I are going. I booked our tickets in the Away supporters bay.
We went down to last seasons grand final, where I proudly wore my Mariners shirt and apart from a few stares and a "why the F@#% is he wearing a Mariner's shirt for". The only interaction of note was when I was bailed up by a Victory supporter who was telling me how good our team was. I don't think we have anything to worry about. I think going to scumcastle is scarier.
Anyway, just wondering if there is a designated establishment to meet up at before the game? Should we gate-crash the Royal ;D

*sniffles* Unfortunately I will not be in attendance, and have had to cancel my plans due to budgetary concerns. I will be cheering loud enough from the Kendall for you all to hear me though.
*shakes fist at anything to do with money that is depriving me of it*
