Saw 5!, yes 5 security goons and 2 ticket nazi's milling about and then decide to 'pounce' on this poor punter up in the top stand at last home game. They demanded that he 'hand over' his McDonalds that he and his 2 kids were eating, which he did. Said to Grunta WTF! , and the woman next to me said it happened to her last year when she brought some KFC in for her and her family. I told her that she should have bought the KFC and then put it in 'tupperware' containers and told them that she cooked it herself. But seriously, if the food prices were'nt so FCUKING steep families on budget's wouldn't have to resort to bringing their own food in.

Pretty funny about the megaphones as they were handing out those plastic thingys you fold to make a megaphone... as for the bagpipes there's nothing musical about them so they pass

What they gunna do next cut off your hair & shave your beard so you dont look like jesus anymore? NOBODY, repeat, NOBODY shaves my beard unless it is me. Touch it or come near me with a razor and there's trouble you hear. ;D Balls are banned because the writer of those silly rules has none themselves and he doesn't want others having what he hasn't got. All men will have to be castrated before entering Bluetongue ........................................................................ ...........or at least agree to watch 3 hours of Oprah before coming to the game.......................which would you prefer? ;D

how do musical instruments affect the safety or security of other spectators? Having no instruments at games will take away from the atmosphere that they create, the drums get ppl excited and into the game not to mention motivate the marinators and players.. Really silly rules would they prefer the Marinator sit down very quietly and watch the game?
stupid rules - political correctness gone crazy!

Yeah Tez, that's the stupid irony of this Thread and the probs that Marinermum had with flags, and those idiots up at Suncorp the week before.
They promote the HAL: as 90 minutes:90 emotions, play upon the atmosphere that football has and the crowd singing, chanting, etc. for marketing purposes, then turn around and set out rules that would apply to most funeral parlours.
I'm not for other nation's flags and I'm against racial and religious slurs and most of the really objectionable stuff that most here wouldn't do anyway, but if the FFA tell security to follow the letter of their own rules, the atmosphere will suffer.
You ask any FFA official & they will reply that they want everybody to be able to come to a football match and have fun and not feel intimidated in any way. And yes, they would probably hope that the Marinators, the Cove, B&W Army (Melb), The Gloryboys etc. would just sit down and politely cheer.

What a bunch of twats.
To be honest I'm not sure I want to bring my drum again anyway. My neck and shoulder were so fracking sore after the game last night.

To clarify.
These are not new rules, I just looked them up on the site.
Furthermore, These are the Bluetongue stadium rules, not rules specifically for Mariners matches. The FFA/mariners would possibly ask them to relzax some of these rules, and they no doubt follow those instructions.
