I said this in the Round Seven topic.
They had a good turnout last night and so they should, they have a bigger football community than us and its good that footballs going well in Newcastle. Congrats as you guys shook the stands. IMO i think that the Coast needs to get used to these supporter groups coming, making noise and really having a go, and we must have the spark to give something back. In the past the stadium and our fans have been pumping when Syd and Newie have come here, but last night it took a bit to get started. Is it the allocation of games on Sunday? because im thinking Saturday nights everyones a bit more revved up.

Perm - Bay 16 was lacklustre and only moderate in volume UNTIL the Mariners goal. Then the volume went up considerably, and the stadium itself went up a fair bit too.
Did you notice all the Jets supporters go up when they equalised? There were quite a few in the stands, waving their flags and all the other paraphernalia, more so than I thought were there.
Sunday arvo games certainly curtails the pisshead factor a fair bit, but leans more towards a family night. Those who wanna be hardcore, get pissed, have a go at opposition supporters etc. should consider the numbers of Mums and kids around.
Do we have to wait until there is a serious incident involving two supporters' groups before the stadium gets the message that having two supporters groups so close to each other is like playing with fire? (I know it's been discussed over and over on this forum, but it was again an issue last night. At the very least, have the opposing supporters group leave via the West exit, and the Marinators to the East)

This is stupidity letting fans from both sides leave via the same exit.

Agreed. I said a couple of times on the way out. This is stupidity letting fans from both sides leave via the same exit. Spot on. Fits in with what I've seen and heard (and read), and wouldn't be hard for the organisers to fix. Works well elsewhere (even in Newcastle)

In a whole, I agree. The organisers should start considering the fact that there is certain supporters that would tear the limbs off opposing supporters. These sort of things shouldn't happen overall, let alone infront of children. I mean just as an example, as me and my friends were leaving the stadium, we couldn't even walk down the stairs and out the exit towards the Leagues Club without a fight starting too break out between one of us Marinors supporters and one of their Jets supporters. Although it was considered a "weak" fight, it was infront of children who were being ushered away as quickly as possible by their parents. Also just a note, the fight wasn't broken up by Security as they were no where near to be seen. Instead it took fellow supporters to break it up, just proving that security CANT BE EVERYWHERE. What do you think? Regan
