Was a great night in bay 16, the cove, marinators and squadron members all joined together and I think helped the Olyroos a lot!
Great effort everyone............top night

I was in Bay 42, loved the signing, best of best was " You aini’tt gonna make it" brilliant the Waltzing Matilda second best except DH ground announcer talked over it.
Danny was …………. Gone from star to ……………… legend tonight. The clapping with singing jumping the fence at the end ,
Midfielder very happy my two best other than Danny were the two wide mids .

Just watched the replay....
FARK ME milligan was lucky to stay on the park. He dead set nearly had that keepers head off with his elbow. He may have been wearing gold tonight, but he is still just dirty f***ing sydney scum.

Straight red at any level of the game - ref wimped out (thank goodness).
Top display from Princess too - being at FFC has obviously helped him :-)

some piccies: this was 10 minutes into the match, when we finally got through the gate (why kickoff wasn't delayed escapes comprehension): the eastern side basically full with a more than healthy turnout from the iraqi community - props to them! western side full aside from the corporates etc. upstairs. notice basically nobody in the boxes - these are full for mariners games. a photo i managed to simultaneously underexpose (the bay) and overexpose (the pitch) - i'm such a talented boy... anyhoo, that's the view for those who missed it:

If I was involved with CCM marketing, I would be trying to sign a high profile Iraqi for V4. Anyone who can tap into that fan base is gonna add a few thousand very passionate supporters for sure.
There were plenty of Iraqi players who are of HAL standard (indeed, some looked much better than that.)
How hard a sell would it be?? Terrigal or Iraq??

What a great night! Am only just recovering No chance in hell there was only 13008 people there . I think that the turnstyle counters must be broken. This is not the first time the official figure has seemed below the number of people at the ground.

Nice photos, Dibo, the kid turning around at the gate on the left in the last one is my brother. 13008 cant be right, apparently it was 16000 or so according to a family member.

Passionate, dickheads, same diff I can just see how much fun Harper would have with it if Mariners fans started throwing stuff at that little female ref assistant with all her incorrect offside calls

what a great atmosphere...pretty torrid at times.
police and security were pretty shit at finding the bottle throwers...and a bit slow on the uptake...it took 2 complaints from the ref for them to do something
And I don't want to hear any more complaints about the A League refs...there were some pretty appalling decisions there last night, including a very clear offside by Australia and some dubious calls against Iraq, all from the same linesman.. Had the ref seen Milligan strike the keeper, I'm sure he would have sent him off.
