The Kendall will be open for this Saturdays game. Bar service will be from 5.00pm. Doors will be open at 4.30pm. We will show the Sydney match if you want? I think it's one beforehand. Charles CCLC

Charles, It is on beforehand. Going off their forums there will be a few Sydney supporters planning to watch the match before the Olyroos.

Note: I have also posted this in the Olyroos thread, but this is here as im unsure if everyone will see it.
Hey Guys, wondering how many of you Lads and Lasses are heading to the game on Saturday night.
I have been discussing with a few lads on the Sydney forum about the negative media they and the game have been copping about this recent violence in Melbourne. Theyre trying to clear their name and save the positive reputation of Sydneys travelling support. One lad proposed that all attending the match this weekend to wear G&G colours, but club scarves, in order to display the unity of the supporter groups from CCMFC, SFC and NUFC. We have a banner planned if there is a fair contingent from all three supporter groups going to be there at the game. Displaying the three clubs logos with a message about unified support.
What does everyone think? Some people complain and carry on about no club colours, but for the sake of easing the negatives of the supporter groups being displayed by the media, its not such a bad idea.
Brett has been in contact with me about the combined banner idea with the other supporter groups. As he can't attend the game I will pick up on this and talk to the other sets of fans

I can't wait for this game and hope everyone is coming along. A huge crowd would be great for the boys.

IMO i think its best to make a display of unity at a-league matches as the olyroos have nothing to do with what happened over the weekend, i think it's a bit of a distraction and our energies could be better spent on supporting the olyroos. Don't get me wrong I absolutely think a display of unity is fantastic idea but just leave it in the confines of the a-league

Um this is a tuff call yes it would be better suited to a Aleague fixture however that will only ever have two supporter groups at any one game never 3 if not 4 : P.s Are there many melbourne fans comin up? Any way that MELBOURNE could be included considering there've been one of the main teams making the articals if newcastle/mariners/sydey/and melbourne could all be showen standing united it would be HUGE. I can see strong points to both opinions tho

As I won't be attending maybe I'm not the best to comment but leave the club colours at home it only causes trouble just as singing specific team songs causes trouble. Keep it Green and gold.
If you want to make a statement about unity either do it as a banner or do it at an A-league game.

The whole point of wearing club scarves (and scarves only) is to show that the different A-League team supporters can get along and not cause trouble. The problem with this would be with the tossers who aren't aware that its a media stunt, and start causing shit.

we should still sing danny's song dru Yeah, I think that is an appropriate song as it supports the team. you will probably join in songs about jets and sackme fc players too. More I was getting at songs that are aimed at other teams

I heard ticket sales were over 10,000 as of yesterday. Hope it's true, and a good indication of crowd size

I once asked the girl who took the ticket out of my hand, studied the PAX and then told me about 2000 above that number (for a Mariners game with members)!!!
