New Mariners supporter group? Can someone explain what this is about (without the commentary on if it's a good/bad idea to have another supporter group)?

They think we are "uncool" cos we dont swear or carry on like drunken fools, and think we are nerds because we sing organised and enjoy supporting our team, yet apparently it is cool to smash bottles in the carpark on away games and write yourself off till you cant talk and keep falling over. Way cool.

It is headed by Danny V poker buddy. Well so he claims. They are a bunch of wankers who are keen to try a fight. For example, the leader was trying to pick fights with other mariners fans on the train.

"the Dock" ...? grow up and wake up to yourselves....
Would hate to see CCMFC supporters (marinators or not) name get tarnished by a pack of twats.
Obviously these guys are too young to remember the troubles football has had all around the world with violent fans... (cant even remember syd V melb a few rounds back??)...Bit slow guys on the uptake guys!!
There will only ever be one CCMFC supporter group. If you dont want part of it shut up and stay away. Majority rule!!!
If its fights you want, be a real man, and join a sport that actually involves fighting, like boxing or something...

i'd actually like to hear from the group themselves before jumping to conclusions, particularly about them being focussed on fighting or whatever.
if there's a breakaway mooted it might help us all to find out why - it may be that it's a definite split between the groups, or it may be that there is a way to accomodate everyone.
but given i've heard nothing of the group first hand, i wouldn't mind hearing something directly from a member of it. at the moment i've heard as much from 'the dock' as i've heard from the ccse, and am inclined to take reports of it fighting and whatnot about as seriously...

"the dock" sounds like a spinoff of the cove to me, even though we are calling our section "the bay" thats more a reflection of growth from bay 16 than any spin off... we are too small to have more than one supporter group... first ive heard of it and i cant comment on the fighting thing i know nothing about it but if this group does indeed exist it would be really dissapointing

Yeah good point, probably not much substance to it at all. Just dont like anything that even suggests some sort of split or violence amongst Mariners supporters.

If it has anything to do with hot dogs and pollock's group, I think you'll find its a bit of a 'gee-up' and meant in fun?. They all came in a mini bus full of Gosford City boys (good on them for organising a bus too!) and probably all sat together calling themselves 'the dock' ? I'm sorta guessing at all of that so don't quote me, because if it isn't their group it would need to be looked into I guess. Me and my family went up in Fish's car (only took 15 mins from ourimbah...LOL - those who have driven with Fish will know what I mean ) so we could call ourselves "Fish's fearless 5"
