Hi Yellow 1, As a parent with small kids who attend schools and who has lived in Wyoming, Narara and Lisarow. If you are looking for younger family life style with goods schools and new homes with the old neighbourhood feel and no housing commies, Then go and live in Lisarow. Good, small primary school and the high school has a fantastic reputation one of the best on the coast and your close to the station and 5 mins in from freeway. Lisarow High having one of the best reputations on the Coast? Don't know what dream world you are living in!!!!!!

From the suburbs you mentioned it seems you will be commuting to Sydney to work and weighing up the options of whether to drive or train it down. I think you can get some real bargains at Wyoming and Narara. This is where I would be looking as it is close to many services and close to the train station. Some of Wyoming is housing commission, however, and prone to trouble. Kariong is a hole and just a commuter suburb off the freeway. Woy Woy is expensive but a real nice place in parts. Also try Tascott. It is still cheap and many houses have beautiful water views. It is also a stride away from the train station. Cheers Mick Mick, Shoudn't there be some sort of disclosure for talking up your own suburb / house price!!! ;D ;D ;D

Gosford High is one of the best on the coast, if you can get in. I went there and there were some pretty hopeless kids so if your kids are pretty clever try get them in here.

Lisarow is a great suburb, close to the station, uni and a brand new shopping centre. Ridgeway makes the beaches 15 min away. 10 min to Tuggerah as well.

Agree, Lisarow is one of the better places to live in the 'valley' and have owned & lived there myself but now live at Ourimbah (the best part of the valley & best football club!). Just a correction though; near where my sister lives - not far from the shops & high - there is a housing commission enclave. Good to see marinermick getting a plug in for his neighbourhood but he's right, it is a nice part of the world there too as is Koolewong.
