Ok, Fans Forum members ... let's get to know more about the 130+ people on here!
This Poll, No. 1, seeks to map out where we are from geographically in supporting Central Coast Mariners FC. Will we be surprised?
I urge all on the forum, to participate, but only once please!
Sorry to those from Ryde, Baulkham Hills, Willoughby etc. - you'll have to use Other (only so many allowed) - please tell us where from if you are an 'Other'!

Bump!
Come on, surely there are a lot more fans yet to register!
Do you tell us that a minority of forum members actually live on the Central Coast?

It's pretty quiet 'round most Oz football forums atm, understandably I suppose.
I'm pretty much right on the border for Gosford and Wyong Shires, but I voted Gosford in any case.

Hey now, everyone who lives here knows Wyoming has a light side and a dark side. It's an old perception that's been around for at least a decade. I'm lucky enough to live on the 'light' side, towards Coles and Alan Davidson oval (home of the mighty Tigers!). It really is a nice spot and I'm one of the few here that will be walking home after our matches.
The dark side on the other hand is quite bad. I wouldn't recommend moving in within a kilometre radius of Wyoming Public School.

It's one of the areas we have been considering, Wyoming, Kariong, Narara, Lisarow,Woy Woy etc. Where would the best place be with young children? Any Info would be gratefully recieved.Obviously we wouldlike a nice area with good schools for the kids Any help appreciated.

From the suburbs you mentioned it seems you will be commuting to Sydney to work and weighing up the options of whether to drive or train it down. I think you can get some real bargains at Wyoming and Narara. This is where I would be looking as it is close to many services and close to the train station. Some of Wyoming is housing commission, however, and prone to trouble. Kariong is a hole and just a commuter suburb off the freeway. Woy Woy is expensive but a real nice place in parts. Also try Tascott. It is still cheap and many houses have beautiful water views. It is also a stride away from the train station. Cheers Mick

Mick summed it up pretty well there, so I'll tell you a bit more about Wyoming. The best area is the north side, around Valley View school (one of the better primary schools around). The trouble Mick speaks of is more on the back side of Wyoming around Wyoming Primary School. It's generally a pretty family friendly suburb, but then again so are most of the suburbs you mentioned. Kariong is a quiet, primarily residential area. Like Mick said there isn't much there at the moment besides good access to the freeway, but it is starting to grow as a community in itself with a new high school going in etc. It's only 30 minutes to the outskirts of Sydney from Kariong these days so if you are driving down this would be ideal. My sister lives up there and she lives back away from the main road where there really are lots of families. If you live close to Gosford (Narara, Niagara Park, Wyoming) Gosford Primary is also a pretty good school.
Any more specific questions feel free to ask.

Once again,Thanks for your help.

From Scotland originally (definitely 'Other!'), but living in Sydney - currently, the suburb of Lane Cove. Still in the 'Other' category, then.

Sweet home Leichhardt, now and forever AMEN. Go the Central Coast untill they bring in promotion relegation, then it will be the return of the mighty APIA!!! Have family up in Matchum Valley, so that's my link to the mariners. Also a good excuse to go up see the inlaws though also able to get out and go watch the football..

Hi Yellow 1, As a parent with small kids who attend schools and who has lived in Wyoming, Narara and Lisarow. If you are looking for younger family life style with goods schools and new homes with the old neighbourhood feel and no housing commies, Then go and live in Lisarow. Good, small primary school and the high school has a fantastic reputation one of the best on the coast and your close to the station and 5 mins in from freeway.
