OK, I've been sort of keeping up with news of CC Mariners for some time now. I'm in Scotland so games are out. Two reasons for following their progress - 1 About to visit Central Coast for the third time to see friends - unfortunately won't be able to go to any games. 2 Watched Stewart Petrie and Ian Ferguson when they were at Dunfermline Athletic. Petrie was a terrific servant to the club and Ferguson was eventually forgiven for being a Ranger. So, geographically I suppose I must be 'Other'.

I come from Chipping Norton, in Sydney between Bankstown and Liverpool. Why support the Mariners and not Sydney FC? I hear you say. Well any mug can support Sydney FC but it takes a special kind of mug to support the Mariners. I enjoy the Stadium, the beer and food is a lot cheaper than Aussie Stadium and I love the way he Mariners play football. Love the short passing game, love their passion and enthusiasm. It is actually quite easy to get to Gosford for most games - straight up the M7 then the F3 and a nice quiet drive home. I am a Gold Member, have a season ticket and think it is the best value for money anywhere for a real football fan. When the A-League started I knew I had to get out and support it and it is great to be with such a well run club.

Good to see we are outflanking the Bling. If you get tired of the drive think of the guys driving up from tassie this week! Cheaper and better food at the CCLC, worth joining for $4.40 p/y and come to the Kendall Bar beforehand too! Any links with Moorebank SC?

Thanks for the advice I will join CCLC after hearing that. And as for Moorebank Sports Soccer Club, I was Secretary of the club in 2004. Not involved now as I got too busy at work. My son plays in their U21's. Just got home from the Victory game. It was a disappointing result but I think we will still get to the semis. With Myrja, Clarkey, Vidmar and Tommy out, I thought they still did pretty well. I can see why Melbourne are premiers, that first goal was all class. Next week the long drive to Newcastle.

i wore my marinators scalf to morisset AA/A grandfinal today at edgeworth, some scum supporters started yellin out something, but couldnt understand them with the lisp from not having any teeth.. so i just started singing "were on the top of the table" quickly shut up. especially when there mothers brothers uncles second cousin or DAD to them, started hitting them over back of the head...lost 1-0 tho to belswans..i got my g/f next week at mayfield against either cooks hill or warners bay
