The next two weeks will see both Travis Dodd and Carney terrorising the left side of our defence.
Should we move Wilko to left back and put Heff on the right so it will give more space for Heff to go, go, go?

Never seen Heffo on the right? Wilko could certainly slot into the left back role thou. I know we have leaked a lot of goals from that side of the field this year but why change an unbeaten formula with 2 games to go?

I would put wilko left, ossie right (if he is ok) and heff up the wing.
then next year i'd play 3-5-2 like we should have been all along.

and every week teams are hitting our left side harder and harder
with the prospect of playing dodd and carney in the next two weeks i think heff should be relieved of defensive duties and giving the free reign to attack
this begs the other question - does wilko have the pace to contain dodd and carney?

The last goal from the right side that I can remember off the top of my head was Sydney at home? But of course we had 10 men.

Odd, my recollection is we have 'leaked' goals straight down the middle! no, review them, post xmas: and that is just post xmas v newcastle nye - cross from our left to coveny - granted v sydney - carney carving down our left and cut inside - I wasn't there! v melbourne - ferrante carving down our left to the middle - I wasn't there! lol v newcastle - thompson unmarked on our left - he was just to the his right and well outside the penalty area - midfielders job! Think - sheepshagers - 2 goals straight down the middle Think Adelaide - 2 goals straight down the middle Think - Roar - Brosque - 2 goals down the middle (or even to our right)

Should we move Wilko to left back and put Heff on the right so it will give more space for Heff to go, go, go? No! As Lawrie said at the press conference - if it isn't broke don't fix it! They are just as likely to play either side anyway! Dodd has been mainly on the left and Carney on the right but they are more naturally the other way around!

this begs the other question - does wilko have the pace to contain dodd and carney? do many people have the pace to contain them?

^^^those first leg chances weren't really heff. the first one ossie and heff both didnt pick up thommo and stood flat but the second kohler one was an excellent one-touch move with backheels from carle and milicic. nothing the defence could do. with those players i dont know why newcastle dont play that way more often.
