My guess on the day was 500 and I think that it would be within 100 of the right number. Depends who you are counting. Watching the game on TV (recorded) today for the first time, there were Mariners fans sprinkled all around the ground, in almost every crowd shot. I'd say it was over 1,000 easily. Not as many as the semi but perhaps more than the other game. I agree Chris, seeing the fans go up at the goal I'd say about 1000 unless Jets fans cheer when they concede.

lol use cant even understand ur own central coast shtness of a language! where do i start? 1.u talk about all ur pre season cup games. can someone please inform me of what they go towards??last time i checked it was nothin more then just a warm up 2.i have been to both games at the central coast this year and the fans have been appaling!! we beat ur total of fans for those games in 1 game at "the cauldron" as it is now being reported as 3.mori is shit. 4."there wasnt any anti-newcastle chants" wat a load of sht.u cant honestly say u didnt do the typical "we hate u cause ur from newcastle" crap u normally do 5.that crap i heard bout all u can see are newcastle knights jerseys well my friend it is now time for u to post ur fotos.o and another thing about that: Newcastle Superleague team: Hunter MARINERS Central Coast A-League team: Central Coast MARINERS Hunter Mariners colours: YELLOW AND BLUE Central Coast Mariners colours: YELLOW AND BLUE umm i dnt no about u but to me it seems as tho ur club is nothing more then newcastle wannabes 6.the number of minutes it took mark bridge to score 1 magnificant goal and shut use up 7. i will never forgot[/u][/b] the images of vuckovic standing there helplessly watching the ball float into the back of the net and end all hopes of the dismal "comeback" use apparently were having. seriously the best thing about the game was that freekick 8. it has also come to my attention that every time ur team goes 2 players up u never win.must suck supportin a team like that ay and on a final note i must put forward this use say that we are bogans and what not and ur supposedly the "upper class". we then proceed to demolish u 3-1 and make ur team look like fools. calls us bogans all u want atleast we hav results to prove ur shit! CENTRE LINK IS FALLING DOWN FALLING DOWN FALLING DOWN CENTRE LINK IS FALLING DOWN WE HATE COASTIES[/quote] lol. definitely upper class. yes sandman, definitely piss poor organisation on the ticket situation. on the side we entered, they didnt even have the scanners! haha. they obviously weren't expecting the large amount of mariners support due to the track works, and newcastle doesn't usually get much of a crowd other than rugby league matches.

I was just pissed off that I absolutely hammered it to get there in time, and I would've been in the stadium to see the kickoff had the line been reasonable. As it is I got in about 10min late (was near the squadron as the 2nd goal was scored)...and that was after they split my line into 2 to make it faster, and announced that all the U/16 were free to try and clear the line up. I didn't have scanners either.
Like I said, they're still running it like it's a grandstand + hill, like it used to be. When they upgraded to a stadium they clearly didn't upgrade the outside facilities.
Let's ignore the newcastle trolls. If they want to say something reasonable then lets respond, but let's not argue or be baited by attempts to incite us (as that one clearly was).

What quant turnstiles too - relic from a bygone age :-)
Maybe 1,000 all up, 500 or so in the bay, a few in the opp grandstand and others around the ground.
Tortured myself and watched the replay last night, we came across louder and "slater is a FW" clearly heard in 1st half.

I noticed we were swearing a lot more than usual too. 5000 degree's + Matthew Breeze + our midfield + away game + that shithole of a stadium = James angry. For those of us at Ourimbah RSL the night of the Australia/Italy game, we all know that James angry = lots of swearing. I did tone it down after our goal though........... and by the time the Scum went 3-1 up I was too exhausted from the heat and whatever to swear. I really must invest in either a new Marinators shirt or a proper club jersey.

a few c-bombs were dropped from unlikely sources, that's how frustrated people were... Not me - I dislike that word a lot. Although I do remember the surprise on many peoples faces when females were letting fly with it. It's that damn stadium, brings out the worst in everything......

Or yeah and for anyone who is one now NEWCASTLE ARE LOSING TO PERTH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sucked in goldjets Goldjets isn't here anymore Turps, but yes the jets just crashed 2-1 to the Glory - a 94th min goal to Luka Glavas. Best result for us, although it does put us in 7th. We must win in NZ! A win would take us to 5th on GD.

The Central Coast is also apart of Northern NSW in football regions we (Central Coast) come under soccer nsw. northern nsw have their own federation for the teams up there and that is why there was a shitfight last year when Central coast wanted to put development teams in their competition to play up their. great idea but the two federations would not agree so in SNSW eyes the NNSW federation is the black hole of NSW.

That's also why NNSW teams don't play Champion of Champions or Branch.
Not sure what the story is with Far North Coast as they do play C of C
