3-1 to the Newcastle 3-1 to the Newcastle
What a game you guys got absolutely SMASHED! I rate one Mariners player and that is Vukovic if not for him you would have lost by 5 goals. Ok the jets were fitter, faster, smarter they absolutely dominated the game. You guys were outcoached and really have to have a good look at yourselves if you even want to think about making the finals.
I seriously couldn't think of one mariners player who would make the jets starting 11. Even Vukovic would have to settle for a place on the bench.
Tonight proved that skill will overcome dirtiness one of your players (probably Mcmaster) tripped Griffo off the ball as he was making a run. Credit to the jets we didn't let the dirty tactics get on top of us and stuck to what we do best and that is play good football. Did you see at the end of the game how we were making runs at will???
Now who were the Mariners fans who travelled to our stadium when we played against Melbourne a few weeks ago?? You said you could sense the death of the club! 14000 fans came through the gate today a record for our club and yours during the regular season. Its so funny how things can change so dramatically in the space of a few weeks.
Well i got to go our club now has to concentrate on getting into the top two while you guys have somehow gotta find a way to make the Semi finals.
BTW Mori's goal was offside and the reff was a coastie.
Oh when the jets Go flying in Oh when the jets go flying in I want to be in the squadron Oh when the jets go flying in
GO THE JETS (PRIDE OF NORTHERN NSW) FTM FTM FTM FTM FTM

OK goldjets lets hope we never meet in real life! you are a dead set D*&^HEAD
fair cop the jets out played us for the first 1/2 hour and Milton's free kick was a blinder. but apart from that it was a fairly even game.
It was a great crowd, and opposed to the perth game your fans didn't start leaving at the 60th minute they stuck around till the end this time. One day your club will hopefully bring the support that we did tonight to an away derby. hope it was you who dropped the flair!!!!!!!
To be honest i was disappointed in our numbers tonight. we had about 1/2 a bay of marinators and about another bay of CC fans worth. a bit disappointing really.

I wasn't too disappointed with our numbers - when I got into the stadium (After your PATHETIC ticketing sales outside) there were more marinators than squadron.
Too bad we we missed out on getting 2 penalties :-( If you think we got the benefit of the referee then you're on f***ing drugs.
Ultimately, yes, the better team on the night won.
Don't brag too much about your numbers, your club are still the biggest bandwagonners in the comp.

From a tv perspective the marinators came across much louder and clearer than the squadron!
End of thought.................bugger off!

Pfft don't even try and tell me you guys outsang us. We couldn't hear a thing from you all night and you guys only got half a bay??? we had too spread out across bays 1 and 2 because the families in front of us forced us to bunch up again. Still the true supporters group got their team over the line.
And sandman what about our 2 penalty appeals in the first half?? Still i don't care because we won. And speaking of bandwagoners what happened to the 17000 coastie fans who turned up to the Semi-final last season??? Your expecting that amount at your next home game?? Come back and talk to me if you ever break 10000 fans!

Bandwagonners? The comps not even two years old. I have been at CC games last year when there were only 5 odd thousand people. I went to the Sydney game when the result was 5 nil, lots leaving after 60 minutes. Look given CC and Newcastle fan base there will be 8000 core supporters win lose or draw, the extras come when you win a couple of games. The same happened in Newc and CC last season when both clubs did ok.

Haha.
So your defenders werent out played when Mori jumped over them to head a ball past your keeper? Mori is fat and according to physical (fizz-ickle) attributes (att-ri-butes), they should have our jumped someone like Mori.
That pathetic linesman should have been the one making the offside calls, but he had trouble catching a handball from 1ft away from him, let alone an offside that you were some how able to claim from where the Squadron were.
If that ref is a coastie, he isnt welcome back anymore.

You know simple chants like mariners (clap clap clap) aren't exactly singing. Wake up to yourselves your the joke of the A-league. But don't worry the ashes is starting soon im sure you will feel right at home next to the fanatics at the SCG. You guys have really gotta get over the hurdle of "sing when your winning." Too many times ive seen the marinators completely fall apart after conceding a goal and it happened again today.

Fisherman, with the bandwagoners at newcastle, all clubs have them come on how could you not have bandwagoners, where were those fans when you were last in the league and loseing every week, you were getting crowds of 5000, 6000 our average was better than yours, then you string a few wins together and look what happens, u manage to get a big crowd to the game, i wonder why. We had bandwagoners last year when we had a good run and we at least admitted it.
Goldjets, you guys played good in the first half, i admit that but honestly you are telling me Mori wouldnt be in a Jets first 11, if you guys got offered mori you would turn him down, no way are the likes of Milton better than mori. and Vukovic would easily be keeper over kennedy, kennedy is half the reason you went so bad at the start of the season, at first he was only starting as he was your only choice as keeper. Plenty of mariners players would be picked in a newcastle mariners first 11.
Im not going to be one to argue the fact we lost, we deserved to lose playing like that we did have a pretty shit game but everyone has them, and dont worry goldjets you wont make it to the top 2, you guys will most likely crumble in most of your away games for the rest of the season, if you manage to make it into the top 2 well good luck then, gives the mariners more hope of making the semis cause that will mean Queensland, Adeliade and Sydney would start to losing. We have a great record at home and still have a great chance of making the finals provideing we dont f*** up against NZ next week.
and Matthew Breeze is not a coastie referee you are kidding me.
You better not get to ahead of yourself, you will start losing games again its not like you are going to win the rest of the season.

Hmm we have broken 10000 twice, this was the third time(in regular season) for you guys pretty F#$%ing even really. re read my post I said we had about half a bay of Marinators different to the number of away supporters we brought

Oh f*** off gj you idiot.
And no, that's got nothing to do with you winning (no sour grapes at all actually - the better team on the night won) , if you're going to come on here saying we're the joke of the A-league then you can just get f***ed, go steal some more hubcaps or something instead of trying to make yourself feel big and hardcore coming on here just to bag us out.
And what are you trying to achieve by a semantic argument over what a chant vs a song is? Seriously, who cares, as long as some noise is made? Ever thought that it's simply convenience to include them both under the one term?
And let's get off the 'we were louder than you thing, it's absolutely pointless.
