For me a clap as they call his name, if he doesn't score take the piss about, but I hope when he leaves the pitch he gets a good clapping.. He is a legend in Aissue football, and for some one his age to play and score the was he did for us (and previous employees) he deserves some respect....

put yourself in mori's shoes. if you were offered a 4 week deal or a permanent deal, which would you prefer? and esp at the end of a career, playing time is sacred, i find it hard to believe that he wanted to stay in yellow over the qld deal. and he did sign with the boar rather quickly, before ccm could form any kind of proper defence. i think he did the right thing by himself going to qld, thats why he doesnt need any extra treatment.

Respect reshmeckt, f*** him. He left. Its one persons word against anothers. Do you really think he is going to say he wanted to leave us for QLD all along??? of course he wont say that, he was always going to say he wanted a contract with us but we couldnt offer it. Aussie legend or not, I look at it like he abandoned us, with a little help from FFA, so yeah, I will probably boo him, and I dont give a shit how many people give me the cold shoulder because of it. How can you cheer a bloke who scored some goals for us, then jumped ship??? Would you all cheer Danny if he went to SYD FC next year???

No, he really wanted to stay. That is why he asked Lawrie to delist a player so he could sign for the rest of the year. Lawrie also knew that QLD were going to sign him if he didn't so we were given first bite of the cherry. The comment to delist someone was a selfish suggestion but proves he really enjoyed his time here and that he wanted to stay. On the topic of delisting I remember a few people saying we should delist Kwasnik to keep Mori. Anyway, without Mori we still look dangerously weak in the goalscoring department.

I doubt I can make this match, which sucks, but there is no way that I would boo Mori if I was there. He is a legend, and did his best for our team. I would love to see him in yellow next year, despite his age.
Saying that, obviously I don't want him to score, and will be cursing and swearing his name if he does! This is a dangerous match, one that I think will shape the rest of the season, especally if we win. The same goes for Queensland, so we need to be at our best!

No way is he getting a boo.
Booing should be reserved for ex-players who: - Leave our club for greedy money reasons - Take parting shots at the club when they leave - Play for Newcastle
Mori was none of these. The fact is, it's football. Players change clubs. Whether he wanted to stay or not, we couldn't even offer him a contract. When he was here he gave us great service which saved our season. How can we have something against him?
I don't think I'll cheer as his name is read out but I will applaud when he comes down our end if he gestures to us.

But anyway..... Based on his current form, I hope he likes the "rubbish, barge arse" banner im making him

Does that mean we'd have to change the "when the ants go marching in" chant?? Mori was the topic of the last verse

I agree Tez. I'll be cheering for him.
We never got a chance to say thank you to him at the time (cheers FFA!).

It wasn't his choice to leave, so I don't see any reason to boo him. He's a fantastic player to watch, he's somebody who really looks like he thoroughly enjoys his football. I don't think he'll be too much of a threat though, he hasn't done that well with Qld, and HOPEFULLY our guys will know how to shut him down from the time spent training and playing with him (of course, it could go the other way to him knowing our weaknesses!). A few people are saying they're expecting Mori to get booed...I just say to them that the Marinators aren't pissed off at him for leaving, we know it isn't his fault. Still, surely there's something we can sing just for him..... "You've got the wrong shirt on Mori Wrong shirt on Mooooooooori You've got the wrong shirt on Mori!" "Mori, change your shirt Mori Mori, change your shirt" (Or 'Mori, play for us') I got nothing

Dont make calls like that "the marinators aren't pissed off at him", you do not speak for the 250+ people who are considered Marinators. 2. How do you know for a fact it was not his fault??? 1 persons word against the other is all you know. Id reckon there are about 10 people who know the true story, and thats it.

You have a big problem with him, don't you?
1. Considering the general consensus on here was, and still is, that we're not pissed off at him for leaving I don't think it's an unreasonable claim to make.
2. How do you know for a fact it was? Considering the story that got told here, on a few other forums, and through the media was that it was the FFA that wouldn't let him stay I'm quite happy to accept that!

I think when Mori is shown on the screen we should sing Poison Arrow by ABC. "Who broke my heart? You did, you did."
