He is entitled to have his say to the ref, it's not as if every other player in the league doesn't do it, and alot of the time he has a point (eg/ when vukovic tripped him) Yes, he does have a right to say something to the referee. Not to swear at him or hit him, like he does. soudns like your talking about joel to me..

Honestly with all my experience as a referee, THAT WAS A FOUL> As a referee you think it is ok for players to swear at officials. I do not think it is ok and deserves a card. Acceptance of lack of respect to refs leads to thetype of disgusting incident we saw on Sunday. Goodness knows what you refereed.

The sad thing is that Joel Griffiths has the potential to be one of the poster boys of the league. He is skillful and he never gives up. (Yes I am a mariners member from day 1).
Unfortunately he also has a dark side that dives and hacks and cheats and whines. Something that he has always done. If the FFA don't have the balls to do something about his actions on the weekend then GVE should get some and read him the riot act.
Having had my own altercation with GVE on the weekend I fear that he believes his poor charges are continually picked on so that is unlikely to happen.
The condoning of Joel's behaviour by GVE and the condoning of the illegal behaviour by some of the Jets fans by their CEO makes it seem like they are all in denial. This is not about Newcastle - it is about football in this country. I'm sure if the rugger bugger was still around some heads would be knocked together. Sadly under Ben Buckley we seem to have a leader asleep at the wheel.

Everyone makes mistakes i guess. about controlling them.
Where did GVE condoning JGriffos actions?
With the CEO his letter to the fans. It was well out before all this shit came in the media today. Im sure john didnt know anything about these issues.

Timmy
GVE condoned Joels action on FOX after the game without even bothering to look at the incident. This just highlights the blinkered attitude towards Joel from everyone at Newcastle. The guy has the talent but carries on like a grade A clown every week. If he could change his attitude he would be one of the best players to watch in the HAL. As it is I don't want to watch Newcastle unless they are playing us because he pisses me off so much.
Why wouldn't your CEO know about these incidents when most people on this forum and yours knew about them on Sunday?

Honestly with all my experience as a referee, THAT WAS A FOUL> Clearly you don't have much experience as a ref then chum. No way was that a foul. If you were a ref, you'd be applauding that the ref in the heat of the moment got it spot on without the benefit of half a dozen slow motion replays. Fact: Danny had every right to challenge equally for the ball Fact: It was outside the penalty area so Danny had no choice but to tackle with his foot Fact: No way was it a dirty or reckless tackle Fact: Danny got a touch to the ball Fact: The tackle was front on, not from behind, so perfectly legal Fact: Joel Griffiths is a well known milker of free kicks Fact: The replays clearly show him trying to milk a penalty\free kick after the tackle Fact: I bet you moaned when Italy milked a penalty in the World Cup (note that Neill didn't get a touch to the ball), yet when Griffiths does the same it's all OK - hypocrite!

No i dont tolerate it, but i don't officiate at a senior professional level where it seems it is accepted, honestly you see/hear it at basically EVERY mach at this level. don't say ti doesnt otherwise ur in denial.
