On the way home from the game last night Melsy mentioned we should do something in the off season. Which is a great idea. Auburn and I thought of a few things that would be fun: - a weekend away at maybe Port Macquarie or Coffs Harbour
- a winery tour around the Hunter in a bus
- a Sydney harbour cruise
- a night at the Rocks in Sydney - quite a few pubs have accomodation
- a lawn bowls night maybe with a sausage sizzle if there is a BBQ available and of course numerous beers.
Anyone else interested in some out of season socialising and any other ideas?

what about a social cricket/bbq day, similar to the lawn bowls idea?

All sounds good to me.
I'm happy to leave the worrying til after the season though.
If we win the Grand Final I'll be in the Kendall Bar until 06/07 pre-season.

- a winery tour around the Hunter in a bus/es - Definitely
- a Sydney harbour cruise - Yeah
- a lawn bowls night maybe with a sausage sizzle if there is a BBQ available and of course numerous beers - Yeah I'd be in that, something us oldies may be able to win! lol
Football related - Pack Pluim Park with yellow for a Winter Super League game or two - support the local players and the BBQ is pretty good! Say for first half of season - Sat 27-05-06, 7:30 at Pluim Park - Central Coast 'Lightning' (lol) vs Stanmore Hawks It would be good to have some activities for wider Mariners fans (to build those links) as well as those better suited for the sort of crew that went to Brisbane!

I remember hearing something about an overseas football tournament in June that we might want to watch. Or is that stating the obvious?

She is due 2 pop very very soon isnt she Fish??? At this rate we'll outbreed Newcastle by season 2! I'll look forward to watching many, many Mariners players in the Oz 2030 World Cup squad from my geriatric ward!

Talk about being whipped. Geez, man, she has you wrapped around her little finger. All of your ideas, Merrymariner, sound like fun. But I'll be too busy hanging out with my friends from the Newcastle Knights vocal supporters group. We usually get together and practice all things tackle related. If that sounds gay, I don't want to be straight.
