What a game!
Could of gone either way at the end!
Our goal was great and the penalty save too.
So now on to Adelaide!

I think Danny was brilliant tonight! Dwight Yorke is a dickhead and i'm sick of hearing how good he is. Yep could have gone either way but i think we had them earlier, lost it when Hutcho got injured and we didn't really get it back. At least we got a draw-what a goal!

Sydney FC 1 ( David Carney 61') drew with Central Coast Mariners FC 1 (Tom Pondeljak 52')
A well matched game, which I thought we had the better chances, mostly desperation blocking by Bling! Danny's penalty save off Dwight Yorke jkept us in but perhaps he could have got a touch to the goal? Tommy's goal a fine individual effort, turning the defence in knots! To the perhaps 1,000 Mariners fans who turned up and sat in tell-tale yellow in all parts of the ground, (easy to pick out when we scored) - thanks and well done!

Great game, probably be inclined to give the MoM to Vuko, despite the one blemishwas solid all night. As for Ben Williams, how the hell is that twit a FIFA qualified ref

Danny's hands were like glue 2night. How the hell he held onto some of the shots he saved is beyond me.

Much better display than last week even though we still seemed below our best. The quality of our crossing is usually pretty ordinary but it was even worse tonight.
Tragedy for Hutch, what a terrible thing to happen to the bloke. The new pitch looked pretty bad and no doubt contributed to the injury.
Vuko was definately MoM.
We need to get something from Adelaide - tough ask though it is and beat Melbourne. That should just about get us in the finals.

That was a fantastic game end to end . Could have gone either way. great save from the penalty, great goal, linesman should be shot at dawn then given a lethal injection. I thought the referee was the best we've seen all season. consistent really and that's all i ask for!!

It was a good game and I think we were a little unlucky not to take all 3 points, especially with the forwards we had missing. Hutch is out for 6 months and will be sorely missed in the push for 2nd and then the finals series! Where did the main Marinators contingent drink after the game?

Like most I have to say what a great game of footy!
The Mariners can take a lot of heart from that performance, we outplayed Sydney for most of the game, silenced their fans and had the confidence to play probably some of the best passing we have seen all season.
Carney is quality, but should he have been on the field to score it? Some refs would have given him an early bath!
Play like this next week and we have a great chance to beat Adelaide.
COME ON MARINERS

and you guys sounded amazing!!!1
Honestly, the Cove had numbers and so when they chose to cheer, it was louder (sorry guys but logic prevails ont his one) but in saying that, the Marinators were more consistent and original...
Go guys!

i thought we played well except i agree with greenpoleffc our crossing was shite.
Vuckovic man of the match for sure. Both teams had good chances to win the game and i think both teams would settle for a point.
I thought Kwansnik was wasteful up front. Did anyone see the Pierre-Pondeljak spat. They were arguing for like 2 minutes. You can say Tommy will never move to Sydney with Pierre coach.
We rarely play 2 good games in a row but we need to next week. We can still get second. Adelaide have secured the minor premiership so they might rest players. We will beat them if we play as if we did last night.

Vuko did well but my MoM would be Tommy - he caused their defence trouble all night until he went off! Kwasie did ok when he came on, he's improved a lot over recent weeks!

We went to the KB Sacko. Great night, Great game. Worth losing a full schooner when that dope missed the spot kick. Cant believe he wasnt booked for the back-chat he was giving the ref. 2 cracking goals. They were there for the taking but 4 pts from Aussie stadium isnt too bad. Every match is a cup final from here on in! Its gonna be close!!

People keep putting shit on Carney for kicking Vuko, but from where we were it looked 2 me like he tryed 2 kick the ball. If Vuko only had 1 hand on the ball then Carney had every right 2 try and kick it out of his hand. I will wait till I see it before I say he should have been sent or not.
