Who ever is charge of setting out the pitch can be held responsible for a poor showing due to the corner flags being moved in at least 4 meter's. What a joke. The game could not be played with any width at all. It was a under 10 pitch. Maybe that had something to do with a packed midfield, do you think?

Porter Boogs and Symons played. The defence looked very ordinary to say the least.

Trotty didnt help the cause of keeping the ball. He wellied it up field every time he got the ball in his hands.
Last week we retained possesion better when Danny was rolling it out to the defence.

Sasho lets the football brain do the hard yards, Matty lets his legs do them.

Totally agree with you wombat.
IMO If he was not a local he would not get a gig in the A League

I dont think he was a starter for the Central Coast Lightning first team.
So being a starter for the Mariners in any position would certainly be throwing the KID into the deep end IMO

Robbie Slater has a decent football pedigree IMO.
Maybe his media pedigree might be questionable?

The Mariners will have to upgrade a few of the younger players contracts to keep them next year. ie Jedinak, Boggs etc.

I doubt Lawrie is saving Tommy for the business end of the season.
Lawrie has shown on past performance that he does not like to fiddle with wining sides to much.

There are other players in the squad with better credentials than Simon and they have had to deal with the same thing happening to them.
Thats why the A League needs to implement a youth league as a matter of urgency. Even though Simon is getting a bit old for youth league at 21.
The life of a professional footballer is tuff.

IMO Mathew Simon has not got the experience to start in the A league at this time and score goals.
Obviously Lawrie has gone for the experienced old campaigner rather than the youthful exuberance of Simon.

He sounds like he likes to be the centre of attention.
Playing football is just a means to get his attention fix and to sign autographs.
Wanker indeed!

Hutch came back from injury early last season and was quite poor for many games.

lawrie will only play a player on merit not reputation so if he plays then it would be because he is a better player How did HUTCH retain his place last season then? I suspect it was more on reputation than merit.
