Obviously Bearinator did not support a football team in the old NSL and has only started to support a team since the Mariners came to the Central Coast.

IMO we could definitely use the services of a TOP CLASS foreign footballer who has learned his trade overseas to lead the way and show our younger players what "sacrifices" and "single minded discipline" is needed to succeed in the game, and become a TOP CLASS professional footballer.
Ideally some one who knows what it is like to go hungry if they don't succeed, and who has sublime skills, and has a real passion for football.

Obviously his confidence was shot to pieces last season after a major injury which can only be expected.

Con and Remo want their players to move to Newcastle.
They had a problem 2 seasons ago with Tompson who was living on the coast and traveling up to Newcastle.
He had already signed and arranged accomodation on the coast before Con told him he would have to move to Newcastle.

Not surprised with Danny - perhaps a little with Smitta? Not surprised at all. Last Olyroo camp coaches thought he went really well. Have heard good reports for quite some time. Other players have just had the luxury of having coaches that give youth a go in the A League. Have heard once he gets a few starts in the Midfield he will take off.

Trott may get his chance as Danny Vukovic and Porter will only arrive back from Olyroo duty on the day before the game.

Boogard and Jedinak look to slow and cumbersome against athletic oposition. They both have great strenght but lack speed.

If that was the case all players would run like lighting.

He looked quality to me the other night. In fact he looked more assured than Wilko. Tough tackler, fast, good in the air, and he gets forward well.
I agree with most of the above, but not to sure about him being classed as FAST?
Wilko looked FAT to me!!!

As far as i know it was on a normal sythetic pitch with 14 players instead of 22. More space and more time on the ball obviously. Which would obviously suit some of the Lightning players greatly.

Just because a player goes OK at a sevens tournament where there is more room and time on the ball than they will ever have in a A league game does not mean the Mariners should go out and sign every player that went to the tournament!
If all these players "6 of them" are so good how come the Central Coast Lightning doesn't smash all the oposing teams in their competition?
Reality check please!!!!!!!!!

The workers club has excellent meals. Cannot recommend the chicken schnitzel enough. You struggle to eat all thats put on the plate. It is not far from the formula 1.

The only club that will fill all 23 will be the Mariners, and maybe Perth. Most other clubs are going for 20/21
I would be very surprised if the Mariners sign 23 players. More like 20
