The FFA are wrong - James Holland is not a central coast Mariner, Ian McAndrew will be our 3rd U20 player for V3.
Hollands agents have other ideas

we have signed mcandrew but do we really need another defender/midfielder my opinion is that we need another forward as we only have 3 proper forwards, 1 of which is still on the fringe and another with a record for getting long term injuries. is the 23rd spot going to be used for injury covers or what?

Sash, Nik, Owens, Tommy, Hutch, Kwass and Simon can play up front. I think we are well covered there mate. And McAndrew is quality, better than Porter in my opinion, so no it wont hurt to have him in our squad.

Mariners add more local talent - AAP from The World Game.
The Central Coast Mariners have signed local talent Ian McAndrew for the 2007/08 A-League season.
The 18-year-old defender was born and raised on the Central Coast and is the first graduate of the Mariners' youth academy.
McAndrew, of Wyoming, joins two fellow young Central Coast products in Bradley Porter (Kanwal) and Andrew Redmayne (Gosford City) as the Mariners' three mandatory restricted age signings.
McAndrew is the eighth new signing for season three, along with Dean Heffernan, Mile Jedinak, Greg Owens, Sasho Petrovski, Andrew Redmayne, Matt Simon and Matthew Trott.
The Mariners face Perth Glory in Saturday's pre-season cup semi-final at Central Coast Stadium.

After seeing Heff back on the weekend I would like to see us try a 3-5-2 formation at some stage. Somethong like:-
Vukovic Clarky/Boogs Wilkinson O'Grady/Vidmar Tommy/Ossie Heff/Browny Mile Gumps Kwassy/Owens Sasho Nik

Now i've seen everything tommy P playing in the Cafu position who woulda thunk it. I've also never seen Kwasnik playing in the number "10" position either.

I've also never seen Kwasnik playing in the number "10" position either. it is not a silly notion tommy gets through a mile of work and is often seen defending from what i have seen he tackles very well is also lightning quick so a wingback position is actually quite suited to him the big downside is that you lose plenty of his slick passing and penetration down the middle by having him wide

i dont agree with using tommy P as a wingback or as a winger at all for that matter, tommy P has to be used as a playmaker in my opinion. the team will need him there for success this year. kwasnik would be better left on the right hand side because he usually impresses from there

Headaches for Lawrie with a fully fit squad. IMO I would like to see --------------------Danny Clark----Wilko----Vidmar/Boogs------Heff Pondeljak----Mile----Owens----------Brown ---------------Sasho-----Mrdja Trott Boogs/Vidmar Kwasnik Gumps

I don't believe Gumps is being played as playmaker, nor do I think he should be. Tommy P is the only 1st choice for playmaker. The 1st choice midfield Lawrie settles on will be interesting, but at least we have depth there now. The worrying thing is we were owned by Glory there last week. I presume/hope the game in Canberra was a different story.

ive met sasho petrovski and other sydney players, whilst most were top blokes - Terry McFlynn was the most friendly - Sasho was a complete and utter twat, he thinks he is the dogs bollocks, he is lazy on the park - soemthing many of you havent noticed, yes he can finish but he sets a poor example on and off the park and is not the kind of player that will fit in with the coast community, it simply wouldnt work - i really hope the mariners dont sign sasho hehe can we put this quote in the fanzine scott?
