Hi i was just wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be a cc mariners forum that dosent have the proboards25 thing on the end of it or anything like that? Example www.uccmf.com standing for (unofficial central coast mariners forum). So will ther be anything like that soon?

i dont think there is a need. Most people get the link to this forum from marinators.net, and to be honest i never even noticed the url, and most people wouldnt look IMO.

I am sure we could afford to fund it, but personally do not see what advantages would be had by it. If any.

Hi i was just wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be a cc mariners forum that dosent have the proboards25 thing on the end of it or anything like that? Example www.uccmf.com standing for (unofficial central coast mariners forum). So will ther be anything like that soon? Something that I am sure may be discussed at the upcoming Marinators planning meeting. Not that the forum is only for Marinators, far from it, but they/we are key stakeholders. We will need a new forum at some time ... this one is ageing and limited, however it works - issues come to mind such as: 1. Legal liability - a big scary one believe me 2. porting names across and privacy / practical issues 3. agreeing on what forum platform or our own development 4. resources / time to do it BTW - if anyone would like to have a go at a new graphic / image for the top of the forum I would be grateful and we would certainly consider the best one (being hopeful) ;D ps. we have the 3rd largest club fans forum in the A-League - over 1,200 members (as with the others, not all active of course) We must have done something right? Happy for people to promote forum.marinators.net/

A new member sprouting a new forum sounds like spam to me

why change forums? if people are unhappy with what this one looks like or how it runs then tell everyone. i agree with the picture, could do with a bit of sprucing up.

I take that back to a degree.... I've just been fiddling around, and came up with this: (sorry about the quality. something happened when i saved it in paint, so now it looks a little sketchy, but you get the general idea ay.) img264.imageshack.us/img264/8650/centralcoastmarinersuv2.gif The black really brings out the yellow and blue. and i just added some newer photos. that grey block (with 'Central coast motor group' etc in it) would be black too but i just couldn't change it because of the black font of the writing. I reckon it looks alright. what do others think i just reckon it looks a little newer.

I take that back to a degree.... I've just been fiddling around, and came up with this: Thanks for making a start.. image would be a gif format about 450 pixels wide by 150 pixels high and about 50k Needs to have mariners fans if possible and could have like yours some other images. Needs to say Mariners Fans Forum

Like this?... Thanks for those who have taken up the challenge either here or by PM, email. Great start Lou, thanks: Layout fine, but too many fans not in yellow - sends the wrong image (oh and having a possible Perm in the middle - only kidding) Keep them coming .... the Moderators will short list to find those which meet minimum requirements, and we'll have a poll As well as a) the image type and size, and b) including Mariners Fans Forum text, it will need c) to show/celebrate our fans, d) feel being a mariners fan is fun, e) encourage wearing yellow, f) be aware of copyright of images I am sure we have many creative people out there.

I like that one NS. If we had a pic of 30 seconds earlier with all the streamers in the air rather than on the floor, that would be awesome I reckon.
