Is tonight still a go?? I only ask because of the unexpected rain last night and early this morning..... still on You beauty!!! Getting out the thermals, the rug, the gloves, the beany, the scarf, the Alex Ferguson-style trenchcoat, and anything else to avoid freezing to death. *edit* Anyone have an idea of a starting XI??

Osman scored first half and Mrdja in the second. Tommy looked good, and Holland looked decent when he came on, never stopped running. As usual Wilko played superb, didn't look like he'd been away. Main summary thou is ok for their first game in 2 months, lack of fitness and sharpness obviously showed in the players but Mrdja getting 90 minutes under his belt is hopefully a good sign! I really hope we re-sign Boogs too, he marked Mrdja superbly in the first half and was very good in the air. A few more games under his belt for Lightning will only help him improve further.

Osman after Trott could only parry a shot, Mrdja close in.
Good workout really, I hope no one criticises any players in what was really just a glorified training run but big pluses to:-
Browny - found some more pace by the look of it and crossing was great.
Boogs - Handled Mrdja well in the 1st half and looked v comfortable in the Mariners back line in 2nd half.
Holland - Came on at HT and looked a quality player. Quick feet and very impressive.
Tommy - looked v sharp
Redmayne - How does a kid get that big so young, only 1 save to make. Made it look v easy.
451 formation for about the 1st hour. Starting line up
Danny
Clarkie, Wilko,Vidmar,Hutcho (yes at LB) Osman Porter Gumps Tommy Browny Mrdja
Lost track of all the subs in 2nd half but movement was pretty good and they looked pretty fit.
Saw Saho and Owens but they werent presented at HT.

Saw Saho and Owens but they werent presented at HT. They were, along with Jedinak, but you couldn't hear them over the microphone.

Great night Dinamo only lost 2nil both goal were deflections ;)happy days.those lil girls carved us up if we had more time and more room we could ov dominated lots of if's we lost fair&square had great time. Missed fair bit of main game but from what i saw Mrdja seemed to be limping/ on ground alot. who was that little dude who wore petrie's jersey late in game he has potential.good game played with passion what was doing with hutch and the lightning bloke they did the whole nose to nose thing like a proper Aleague rival game.

Lightning guy made him look like a mug a few times (fair enough as he was playing at LB FFS). Cue some frenzied shouting in a broad scots accent and Browny moved to LB.

Lightning guy made him look like a mug a few times From which Hutch got the only YC Lightning guy was Jason McMinimee (had a bit of a following in the Barry Margin stand calling "Rooster"), completely turned Hutch around a few times with superior skills. Never stops running. Part of what makes Lightning worth watching. Coincidently, found this on the CCF site/lightning (from the 2006 game):

Got an email from Justine from CC Football regarding the 'Marinators vs Womens Lightning team' ...
Hi Jeff,
Sorry this has come 1 week after the game, however I just wanted to pass on my thanks to yourself and the players from Dinamo Marinators for their participation in the half time game at the Central Coast Lightning v Central Coast Mariners game. I know the Senior Women’s team enjoyed themselves, I hope your team did also! On behalf of myself and CCF please pass on my appreciation to your team members!
Warm regards,
Justine
Nice work people (sorry I couldn't be there to see that one as I came down with the flu that morning. Thanks for your help Fish.)
