I think with this latest news about Dean, and the fact there are stories coming out of Germany and Walsall, the pendulum is now swinging 60% towards Dean going to Walsall, rather than fronting up for the Mariners for season 07/08. Walsall seem to also have a history of attacking left backs, so they may be comfortable with how Dean plays, as compared to what Nurnberg expected of him. And Money's knowledge of how effective Dean can play, may mean Dean will play in the firsts team just as soon as he can show his form at training. All in all, if this eventuates, it may prove a good move for Dean after languishing in reserves for Nurnberg. And isn't that what we want to see (Dean being successful), and ultimately what Lawrie would hope for, after seeing the guy bust his gut for us in v1? Good luck to him if it all happens.

Whatever happens good luck to Heff........from what I understand he is still undecided and has other options also.......we are 1 of them.
IMO playing League 1 for a recently promoted team from League 2 isn't the best option, he certainly wouldn't catch the eye for the socceroos. If he came back here? you never know? he may have another fantastic year and get a chance? plus put himself in the shop window for a bigger team?
Time will tell anyway

If he came back here? you never know? he may have another fantastic year and get a chance? plus put himself in the shop window for a bigger team? It's an excellent point and one I hope has been pointed out to him several times. Selection in A-League based Socceroos squads for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers would have to be a real possibility if he comes back, but his chances of being selected in a Euro based squad at Walsall wouldn't be much more than zero I suspect. If the money in Walsall isn't that much different, I think such a move would be a poor career decision in all honesty.

the above posts are very good points. it would be in his best interests to return to aus and force his way into the socceroos a-league team. he has a better chance of progression with performing for the socceroo b team then plaing well for walsall. he would be lucky to be invited to a european training camp at best.

Doesn't Richard Money coach Walsall?? Interesting choice. 3rd Div england with sh*t Scum reject coach or Happy in sunny australia with the greatest fans behind him still on decent money playing regularly. i know what i would rather have.

sheesh, if he goes to wallsall richard money will ahve him playing as a standard left back with no licence to go forward
in fact, he will probably be part of a six man defence

One wrote in the fcn forum that Heff is on trial with the Bundesliga club Armina Bielefeld.
I don't know if this is true. But I'm trying to get some news.

they just prevented relegation last week.
in their history and in the history of the bundesliga they relegated as often as we (nuremberg) did. they usually end up in the secand half of the league table.

The article doesn't say he has signed, just says that he is considering australia and walsall. Though it does make it seem that walsall is more likely...

certainly not a step up for him he would have more chance of playing for the socceroos if he came home and became the dominate left back in the aleague

Simone Before you start frothing at the mouth at the size of the thread dear Fishyboy, look at the following breakdown - per page of the posts off topic. Most of these were put on by your mates on the commitee. talk to one of the modirators about getting the off topic poists removed and you have a reasonable 3 or 4 page thread. Page 1 -4 posts off topic Page 2 - 11 posts Page 3 - 8 page4 - 8 page 5 -16 POSTS OFF TOPIC! page 6 - 15!!!! Page 7 - 13
