Memberships look great, I hope everyone on here signs up for one ;D Love the advertising booklet thingy they sent out... "I'm a member of the Coast .... I'm a member of the Club." Good stuff

(3 if baby thomas can only get entry with a childs membership) I noticed you asked the Bench & Boardroom about this NS - interested in their answer. They don't state a lower age limit for needing a child membership but on gameday ticketing is free for children onder 4 "on the knee". Also, a child ticket was (and is currently for kids under 16 for other events at Bluetongue) yet this year Child membership applies for kids 12 and under on 1 March 2008, last year it was 15 and under. This will move a lot of lot of kids (possibly many in family tickets) into the new Student category - affects my (now) 12-year-old. Students (full-time) last year were eligible for Concession, which itself is relatively more expensive this season. Yea the non-transerrable thing makes me less of a fan of it, what is the reasoning for that being an issue in season 3 and not in seasons 1 and 2? Another negative thing in the fine print. My wife's ticket will not be renewed, so our 4 (Family) memberships will become 3. She isn't interested and didn't attend a single game (she did go to the Christmas picnic but her season ticket got used legally most games, it was good to have the flexibility to ask others along and have them seated with us. I know they probably won't check ... but I don't want to do the wrong thing by what the Club expects AND it would suck to get caught and have it confiscated for misuse in th Pre-season Sorry, my rant. But are these changes for the better?

I spoke to the club about this and from what I can gather it is because people in the past lent tickets, did not get them back, and then asked the club for replacements.
I do not know whether it reached that stage but clearly the system of transferable tickets could be left open to rorting. I do not know how difficult it is to or if it is possible to electronically cancel a "lost" ticket. I do not think there will be checking of i.d.s however, if it is perceived there is a problem this will allow it to be easily stamped out.

For me, you guys know what I do, but the club gives me a lot and I want to give back by being a member, if I can't transfer my ticket though, then it's a bit of a big waste, I'm still going to do it this season (because I want the other benefits and I want to give the club the money), but if they call me on it then keep that condition in 2008-2009.

I think the memberships are great value this year. And given the fact that ticketek prices going up for v3 means that my 'family + student upgrades' are gonna save me a fair bit. Not to mention the other benefits of being a member.
If anyone is finding this as a bit of a 'plug'...IT IS! C'mon people, lets get behind them and boost the member numbers and tell your friends to get on it too!

Last year the place that did the cards was in Victoria, but they won't be sending them off straight away. I'll have to get mine soonish. I was hoping to this week, but I have no refereeing so no money.

Well I have been to all but three of our home games without purchasing a season membership though that will all change today when I purchase 2 x Platinum Memberships. My first love is rugby league, though I am a passionate football fan as well. When we got our own team I was over the moon and I feel somewhat proud to be part of such a great club with such a great stadium! This year I want to be more actively involved as well. See you in the pre-season

See you in the pre-season Bloody hell! That's a move from the basement to the penthouse if ever I saw one. ;D Good on ya. I just dropped my renewal form into their office today, so I'm getting my Gold Membership and my old seat (good view) again. My feeling is that the Mariners will have an increase in these season tickets/memberships despite the modest performance on the ladder last year - that's loyalty!

Thanks Pete, long overdue mind you.
The Mariners have become part and parcel of my house hold. My better half and I organise a match day BBQ for the away games at home for family and friends though when we are at Gosford, she will see it as an opportunity to have a girls night in - we both win!
Bluetongue Stadium is magnicent, I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house in all honesty. There is no more picture perfect Stadium in Australia IMO - I am proud to call it home.
The reason for the upgrade was to ensure reserved seating on an aisle seat for my brother and I. Just convenience, no stress about getting a seat we would prefer.
See you on game day!

I signed up for my first membership on Thursday and 'am eagerly awaiting for it to arrive in the mail !! I'm hoping for around 5000 members this season... is that a realistic estimation?

5000 would be awesome, hopefully one of our more senior members from the Marinators can answer that one George. As for the memberhip arriving in the mail, I heard there may be a delay on the merch. I have sent an e-mail this morning to the club for clarification and I will post here

Well I am sure the club would be over the moon if we reached that number in season 3, but as long as we get another hefty increase - for season ticket/membership. I'd suggest 3,000-3,500 may be a more realistic target - that is 1/3 of our last year's average gate coming (or paying to come) to ALL homes games before the gates open. As for membership kits .... it is a huge undertaking with lots of labour involved, and all A-League clubs find it hard to get them out - one of the downsides of success. ''Expect" them a week or two before the first home game, and your ticket for the pre-season game sent separately. I'm happy if the club can give you better news.
