Well the stadium holds about 21 - 22K max, right? So if we get even 3500 folks permanently seated that's good going. A 5K figure would mean nearly 1/4 of the Stadium is sold out before a ball is kicked, and that would be very good for the club and football. Another thing to consider too. Not all the stadium is gold or platinum, and once all those seats are gone, the next season is going to be very hard to get in, barring the usual dropouts from season to season. And once folks find a seat they like, they'll stay there. I look forward to the day when Ivan has to send out a Membership package with only GA season tickets available, and maybe only a few Platinum & Gold to go - first in, best dressed. That would be awesome.

I signed up for my first membership on Thursday and 'am eagerly awaiting for it to arrive in the mail !! I'm hoping for around 5000 members this season... is that a realistic estimation? Well I am sure the club would be over the moon if we reached that number in season 3, but as long as we get another hefty increase - for season ticket/membership. I'd suggest 3,000-3,500 may be a more realistic target - that is 1/3 of our last year's average gate coming (or paying to come) to ALL homes games before the gates open. As for membership kits .... it is a huge undertaking with lots of labour involved, and all A-League clubs find it hard to get them out - one of the downsides of success. ''Expect" them a week or two before the first home game, and your ticket for the pre-season game sent separately. I'm happy if the club can give you better news. Totally understand mate re: memberships The ticket is important, I cannot take advantage of any specials at Rebel Sport (e.g. Coaches jacket for $75 instead of $150) with out it.

Since last Friday, we're 1 closer to that 3500 target - renewed my gold/platinum membership for what seems to be a very decent price. That means the poor buggers around Bay 49 will have to keep on putting up with my incoherent, slightly drunken rantings!! ;D

It took me 4 attempts to do mine online. Still not sure if it is as a renewing member or new one.

I did mine at Rebel today. I'm hoping I won't get sprung for lending my tickets out, it's worth the cost for the benefits and I like to give back to the club I cost them enough stuff.

The only way you'd really get sprung is if someone you gave your ticket to causes some sort of trouble. I don't see there being ticket/id checks at the gate.

memberships have officially surpassed last season's mark of 2000 That's great going. 10% of the stadium pre sold (Dibo reckons a capacity of 20119). Anyone have an idea what the break even crowd figure is for the Mariners? (By 'break even' I mean the crowd figure they need to pay the stadium rent for the match and the other expenses they might be responsible for. Alhough I suppose that figure is also dependant upon what price the tickets are.)

memberships have officially surpassed last season's mark of 2000 last seasons numbers were a fraction under the 2k mark, but your right, we are now over the 2k figure for the first time! The REALLY encouraging thing thou is the fact that around 50% of those are NEW members! Quite a few people have upgraded too. Great work from the club

I'm hoping I won't get sprung for lending my tickets out, it's worth the cost for the benefits and I like to give back to the club I cost them enough stuff. i don't work for the club and can't pretend to speak for them but i think the no transfers thing is more about the club washing its hands of it - if you lend your ticket and someone doesn't give it back, it's your responsibility. don't go to the club and ask for another one unless you've reported it stolen and made a police report, and then pay a replacement fee. but they're not going to check id's on the way in to make sure nobody's lent out a ticket, they want as many seats filled as possible, they're just relying on you to take responsibility for your own ticket.
