Well that's it. More drama at SFC. Frank's sacked Capon, and appointed his own Hakoah mate Andrew Kemeny as the new Chairman!!
I live at Hornsby anyway, and with SFC now formally becoming "old soccer", I'm following Petrovski and Turnbull to the Mariners.
I hope you'll have me - you've been promoted from my favourite 2nd team to my out and out first team!

Welcome aboard. Hornsby is a southern suburb of the Central Coast anyway.

Thanks Ursus. Great game last week. mate, Nik Mrdja will be the star of HAL v3 if uninjured without a doubt IMO. How hard to get out of Sydney Fri nights for the Bluetongue matches? Sat and Sun would be fine I know

Well that's it. More drama at SFC. Frank's sacked Capon, and appointed his own Hakoah mate Andrew Kemeny as the new Chairman!! ! He resigned due to his workload at the art gallery and not being able to commit 100% to the job. I would think this would have been seen as a positive as it means syd will have a chairman who is 100% committed.

Hmmm have to wonder if he was sacked, or was he pushed esp. in light of who was appointed to fill his position. Either way welcome to supporting the Mariners barron, great to see more supporters on this side of the Hawkesbury

Welcome I guess. Iam not an big fan of people switching sides. Either sydney til you die or Mariners til you die. Also, if something happens at the club that you dont agree with or if the Mariners have an crap season will you support us? Sorry if I sound like a wanker, but its all about being loyal to your team. Feel free to buy membership

Welcome Barron, glad you've seen the light! Make sure you try and get in the Kendall Bar in the central coast leagues club before the home games and say g'day. Marinators scarves and marinator club membership always available in there up to 1 hour before kick off!

Sat and Sun would be fine I know It usually takes me about 40 mins from Normo to Gosford. For a Friday night, in the past, I have usually allowed a bit longer. This year with the expressway work it could be ordinary. Allow more time. If you get there early no worries, see you in the Kendall.

Easy...I do it both ways from Epping and you're 10 mins closer. Welcome and see you in the Kendall Bar. CCLC membership only $4.40!!!

It is more about making a fast getaway to get home before I turn into a pumpkin. ;D But the company on the train home is unbeatable ... starting with a chat with Donny Parks on the platform and a cheerio at Woy Woy ... then ever deeper into the disputed territories. PLUS no RBT!

PLUS no RBT! Long wait for a train to Normo, or a long walk home from Hornsby Late at night. And I really need my beauty sleep before my 7:30 am tee time.

It's good that the Mariners are attracting more support. I don't really get the idea tho, of getting onto the forum and announcing to all and sundry you're ex this or that, or even announcing you're going to be popping up occassionally at Bluetongue, was ex-SFC, but wanna be neutral (ala Ned). Coming from another HAL team's support base is always going to be contentious -and I would have thought ex supporters from another HAL team would have exercised a bit of discretion and gently popped their head in the door rather than putting a notice up in bright lights. Obviously if there has been some issue/incident with us in the past when you had supported another team, I doubt there's going to be a big welcoming committee standing at the front of the Kendall to greet you with open arms. If you come to a game and watch some football, fine. If you happen to support the home team, great. If you then think it's good stuff and wanna be more involved by joining the Marinators in Bay 16 and joining the Marinators Club, even better. In the course of general conversation folks at the Kendall will wanna know a little about you, it's natural curiosity if you look a newbie. And then is the good time to drop the mention you are ex 'somewhere else', IMO. I must add too, Barron, that I'm not a fervent rabid Marinator - I don't stand in Bay 16 (you'd be surprised how many Marinators have made it into the stands BTW), I go to the Kendall if and when I want to - it's not a 'must do' on match day. You chose the level of involvement in supporting the Mariners, that suits you best, and have a good time watching a great team go round.
