We are on top of league, we are on top of the league I haven't a clue where u are I haven't a clue where u are, I haven't a clue where u arrrrre, but where on top of the league!!!
QLD suck Oh no that should be kcus(cus) I may be a rude word.
Well security at it again at the game. If she only went away we would be OK> QLD is a backward hole.
I've decided that we need new words to say so they soft QLDers don't get offended.
wanka - aknaw shit - tish head
Hopefully u guys get the picture.
We went to support our team and got told the following by ground security not the police:
1. Don't wave your flag in this area. 2. You shouldn't be in this bay, it is not the away fans (didn't anyone tell them that we sit behind the goals) 3. No singing on the concourse; wait for the game to start 4. No rude language (wanka) because there are kids present. All of which were mine!!!!
Have u ever heard such crap!
They try to stop us supporting our team BUT we won (1 nil to the mariners, 1 nil to the mariners, 1 nil to the mariners 1 nil to suncorp corp security, 1 mariners fans NIL SUNCORP SECURITY.

I was FARKIN FIRED UP to watch this one, only to find out that the sailing club I went to for a family dinner had the foxtel disconnected. Still the updates from a friend made me a happy man. Made happier by the fact that my father is a Sydney FC supporter who I have been reminding of a certain game 2 weeks ago. Bring on the rest of the A - League.... then Asia... then the World!!! (Maybe slightly too keen :-) )

This from the Melbourne forum...... their arrogance never fails to amaze:
"Somebody stop the Mariners.
Seriously, it's getting annoying. Their squad isn't that good, and they're playing way above the level they should. Or rather, other clubs are letting them walk all over them.
We'd better beat them..."
Wankers. How's the view down there??
P.S. Did everyone see Trotty FIRE UP FARKIN' in the second half?? Brilliant!!!

I see it, but I don't believe it.. Mariners actually scored from a corner Great to see the Great wall of Trott keep the Roar out, and everyone dug deep. 7points clear at the top, life is good

Good to see he has learnt to give us heart attacks and a wicked shank from Danny. just wouldn't seem right without them. Boogs ;D ;D ;D wear the 16 with pride son! WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE. so psyched up for Melbourne next weekend! make that 2 in singleton. at least Tiatto said what the whole of australia was thinking. goes without saying thats a bonus 3 pts but we'll take em! champion teams always have wins like that, lets hope thats the case Yer right about that. As Lawrie said after the game, we need to stop giving the ball away. And that! Yikes! Trotty's had an absolute corker of a game, good onya son. Freakish goal by Kwassie, how that got through that many legs I will never know. I think I laughed as much as I cheered. You could not make that up, that game.

Revealing quote from Farina after the game.
... I've been in football long enough to know when you see games like that and you're dominating and you're creating chances, you just know that you're probably going to get caught with a sucker punch."
The phrase "you just know" is telling. The longer the game went you could imagine them thinking. Oh no not again". When any teams coach has that little doubt nagging away, it must communicate itself.

Living at Tuggerah and couldn't make it to CCLC on time. Watched it at Mingara in the sports bar on the massive projector screen. About a dozen ppl watching up here so that was good. Only my wife and I were wearing yellow though.
How many heart attacks can ya have in a game??!!!!! What was happening in our midfield? Made the win so much sweeter though.

Well my heart has finally got back to a normal heart rate. That match shows we now have a defense we can count on if we are under pressure for 75min of a match or if our strikers have a night like every roar striker. 10 days of FARKIN FIRE UP!!!!!!!!! is too long. FARKIN HURRY UP only 10 days till the match at the DOME.

Did anyone else find it a touch ironic that Kwasnik scored our only goal and that the Roar created so many chances but couldn't find the back of the net? I would say that they have a touch of the "Kwassies" but I don't want to jinx things.

Great win but we didn't deserve it. Fantastic defensive effort by Boogs(this bloke is a cert for Australia within next 12 months) and Viddie. Brown looked good going forward but a bit supect defending. Osman was excellent again. I'm really warming to him as a right back. Still great win and we stay top of the league for at least the next 2 weeks!!
