I realise it's only early days in the season yet, but how many players do we have coming off contract at the end of this season?
Someone mentioned, I think it was DJ, in another thread they'd be surprised if Tommy P is with us next season.

Not 100% sure - I know a few players have agreements in their current contracts that if they play a certain number of games they will get another year.....dunno who?
But I think it's roughly half the team in their last year?
Tommy P Gumps Kwas Mrdja Clark Boogs Simon Trott (not sure) Redmayne Osman (not sure) Vidmar Brown Jedinak Porter

some players there on good money too - will have a lot of work to do this season to warrant a new contract on the same coin.

Some very good players there, and a strong core of the team.
Could be interesting next year. I suppose it'll get clearer closer to the season who stays and who goes.

It may end up that Lawrie will take the younger players and take them for a year or two, while only offering the older players a one year deal. He has to look at the future and who is going to be a first team 11 in the next two years. Also the younger players, if they prove themselves, will probably look to overseas after a successful ALeague season and if already contracted the club can make some money on transfers. Less likely with the older players.

Being crowned Champions will make a little difference to contract renewals ;D

I honestly don't think that nik mrdja will stay with us next year. I think he has to prove to lawrie that he is 100% fit and no longer prone to injurys.

When does Danny's contract come up for renewal?? Be interesting to see what he renegotiates. How long do we expect before he gets poached from o/seas?

I'd be happy if we still had him this time next year. I don't think it will be to long before he moves. Especially if he can crack the Socceroo's squad.

If Trott plays in the same way he did against the Pussycats the other week, the blow of losing Danny will be softened.

Filan for mine would be a great pick up, but Trotty has done enough when called on to be more than capable and the pressure of regular first team football will lift him also.
