Do you know the specialist Pete? I think the issue here is more Nik not wanting to do the hard work of recovering from a knee injury, I've had a few in my time as a runner and you can't just show up to physio every week and expect it to get fixed you actually have to do A LOT of work yourself and I'm not convinced Nik has done this. If you don't believe you will recover you won't, Mrdja has played his last game in the A-League I think. No I don't. And if I did, I would not have drawn on any info the specialist/friend/associate had given me any ways, as it could have gotten said specialist into trouble with his patient if they had read the quote. Ahh what I said isn't anything anyone told me it's drawing on my own observations of Mrdja in the past 3 years and knowing a number of physios and how things work there, I have never been told anything from any physio concerning Central Coast Mariners Players.

I wasn't implying that you were using info gleaned from anyone associated with the club or a medical prfessional who may have been working with them Omni. I was saying I wouldn't draw on any info I may have been privy to, because of the trouble that could cause.

I think the club need to move quickly to replace him, we are on top of the league still (only just) and need to take steps to make the best shot at it...
Have always loved and rated nik highly, but now the club needs to look after its interests. This is our best shot a Asia so far, and we need to have a strikeforce, or we are not getting there...
Would be great to hold onto Nik, if he can come good (wether it is phsyical r mental or whatever), but it would be even greater to hold up the big silver frisbie down at terrigal beach, that has to overidding factor IMO...

This is our best shot a Asia so far, and we need to have a strikeforce, or we are not getting there. people should be aware that this season's premiers and champions may not necessarily get a berth in the ACL due to lobbying from australia and japan the structure of the ACL may change allowing a-league to qualify for the ACL immediately after the season finishes therefore, given the adjustment, this season's winners may miss out and it will next season's winners that get the gig

If they get 4 aussie teams in the ACL as hoped it will be the two from this season and the two from next season in 2009's ACL then the top 4 from A-League version 5. Make sense?

Even if it's 2, it should be the top 1 from each season. But then we'd probably finish 2nd and win the GF.

It should be the best form that year going into the comp, not the best from a season ago... Adelaide and Sydney lasy year??... Melbourne by rights should have been there, they easily had the best form in Aussie football... Thats is who you send, whoever is the best at the time...
Not this time last season..
