I see your point T, but in any case getting a taste at such a young age wouldn't be detrimental at all to his future,
I believe its time for Lawrie to start picking youngsters to add abit of excitment and uncertainty to the make up of his side, because currently they are too 1 dimentional

He's done pretty well so far and I'm guessing he knows a fair bit more than we do.

can we fire the fark up for this one!
this is a pretty pivotal game. less than a win and we fall right back to the pack. we're undermanned and off form. this is the game to win, of all games.
win it and we prove that we really are the best team in this league, the team that all others should fear.
fail, and we're... well, not that much better than anyone else.
in bay 16 we need to fire the fark up as well. we were pretty weak on sunday and that has to lift - less spectating, more marinating!
i'm so psyched for this because it's going to be completely massive!

Yes i belive he mariners need a win desperatly to retore abit of momentum, Although in saying that I believe QLD could well be the darkhorses of this years comp with there exciting youngsters, which could prove a handful to the mariners.
QLD to scape over the line with a late winner by ZULLO ..
2-1 QLD ( 32nd min Moore (pen), 87th minm Zullo brilliant solo goal) CCM ( 52nd min sasho tap in)

We will win. Hutch will score a tap in, Owens off the bench with a headed cross to make it 2-0. QLD to have 76 shots, and Trott only having to make 2 saves

Looks like the Rays are playing again on the Saturday too! The ground could be in a pretty bad way.

7's is a very different game!! The kid has talent, but pushing the kid to soon is likely to do more damage than good. to wit: hoffman from the jets. pushed too early, struggling and has fans on his back for *not* being the next big thing right now and ready to go. True, but IMO jason is not up to it, and wasn't setting the NBN league on fire, but in the case of Ian, he was setting the league on fire for the lightning and deserves his go, plus they are totally different player/ people all together. Jason i s a more shy laidback guy, who would easily be over come by nervous etc, whereas Ian is a fiery confident young kid, who has the mental attitude to play HIS game.

I just want less long balls from the back, as the Roar have attacked all year and up until last week could not find anone to finish. They have know and they have a good attacking mid.
We will need to play out of our own third or be under pressure most of the night.
Boois is a huge lost and Clark will need protecting in the centre of the park, so even more reason to hold the ball.
Having our four centre backs out must be a nightmare for Lawie, but for me its less long balls and try to build and keep the ball from the back.
The Grummpy, Tommy P, & Owens for mine is not an issue. Lawie needs to have two of these guys on the park so he is playing each a little (apart from Owens) so they are still there at seasons end.

Please - no more long balls.
This is a massive game. Depleted squad, other teams finding form and against our bogey side in the Roar.
A dodgy 1-0 with a 90th minute deflected goal will do me fine.
Backs to the wall time boys - remember the fight you showed against the Bling and we will fire up with you.
My team??
Trotty Ossie - Jedi - Clarkie - Heff Gumps - Hutcho Kwas - Tommy - Owens Saso
2 D/M's 3 A/M's and Saso up front
Also, having seen him for the Lightning, McAndrew could start to come off the bench. He is a class act IMHO
