Might seem a dumb question but if the FFA owns 18.4% of the CCM who owns the rest?
Also what revenue do we generate and what our our operating expenses?
Just interested in how we have gone have we increased each year etc.
Also got me wondering - our Board do a great job and Lyall does a great job, but what experience did these guys have before taking on their roles?

Try emailing that to the club...but even then I wouldn't necessarily expect a very helpful response!

owners - shadowy secret organisation hellbent on world domination
revenue - a small amount of football related revenue, completely dwarfed by revenues from black market sales of indestructible technetium alloys to armies led by mercenary warlords.
operating expenses - obviously the cost of the secret (...until now) technetium forges and obtaining the technetium ore, then transporting the finished products. the stadium costs are chicken feed.
experience of board members - not even ASIO can find *that* out. and if I told you, i'd have to kill you.

Thanks guys
Yep I did think about that, its just very interesting that the papers are banging on about other clubs owners and revenue but I can't remember seeing anything much about CCM.
The board is pretty easy to Google but was kind of trying to figure who holds the other 80%....
But yes - world domination is much better....

The board is pretty easy to Google but was kind of trying to figure who holds the other 80%.... But yes - world domination is much better.... Most of the stuff is kept private as it’s considered commercial-in-confidence. Between the FFA and CCMFC they’d know what the do is, but you can sus out some basics. Firstly Turnbull and Singo are in there as I understand not as sponsors but as backers – they’ve put capital in rather than agreed to rolling sponsorship deals (Singo’s done both though as I understand) but the values of the respective stakes are not public knowledge. I’m not sure how many other investors there are, but there are more I’m pretty sure. News articles back in July or so suggested that we’ve got $2.5m+ in sponsor dollars, and those articles were before Energy Australia came on board. Mind you, those same articles relied on unnamed sources, so it could all be so much hogwash. There is also considerably more money coming through from Fox through the $100+ million deal they struck with the FFA. Matchday revenue is very difficult to guess at – the target at the beginning of the A-League was to have crowds of 10k to break even. Whether that amount has changed or whatever is not something I know anything about. It’s not at all inconceivable to suggest that each matchday (taken by itself and subtracting matchday costs from matchday revenues) runs at a loss. It’s unlikely that we’re breaking even, because I don’t think anyone is yet in the A-League, but I’m pretty sure things are looking up rather than down at the moment. As for the board – Google them, and you’ll probably know more than I do about them.

It's actually public knowledge. The club is a company and you can get access to all the info from the ASIC website if anyone here is an accountant or a soliciotr.

You can still get info on who the shareholders are, how many shares they own etc. in a private company, there are normally links to sites where you pay $10 or something like that and it sends you a report

Thanks Alicia - what I actually meant was not names but who owns us, etc.
I mean what did Lyall do before he became Executive Chairman. The other are easy but Lyall is a mystery...

Suggest you got to ASIC site and pay for a search under Central Coast Mariners Football Club Pty Limited -ACN Number: 111 321 674.
You pay the money to ASIC they provide you with info, but it's basic. Names of directors, paid up capital etc.
As someone else said above, a lot of info about Income and Expenditure would be Commercial-In-Confidence.
Suspect that it's early days for the Company and they would be lucky to be breaking even.

Central Coast Mariners Football Club Pty Limited -ACN Number: 111 321 674. Nice one Pete, I searched ASIC for "Central Coast Mariners" and it came up with the blank one... couldn't find an ABN on anything either... As someone else said above, a lot of info about Income and Expenditure would be Commercial-In-Confidence. Zero info on profit/loss - just the details on how the company was formed, directors, number of shares, stuff like that... actually thinking about it, it says the better part of f*** all about a company ;D

I remember listening to an interview Lyall did with Paul Williams on Football Fever (the 2KY show) a couple of months back.
Lyall said that they had sponsorships worth around 3 million (this was before the Energy Australia deal). He also said it cost around $60,000.00 a home game to hire BT including catering, security etc
He also said this year will cost around 6 million to run the club.
