What a great game played by the team on Saturday afternoon. After a tight first half that the Mariners dominated, the second half showed the Australian football public what a great team the Mariners are. The 7000+ fans at Central Coast stadum, on a perfect football afternoon, got to witness the Mariners take out a strong title favourite. With all the hype behind this match with local radio stations such as Sea Fm and local papers advertising the match; 7000+ fans turning up was a great turn out against an interstate club. No doubt crowd numbers were boosted by the signing of the star 'John Aloisi' also. It looks like the Central Coast is really getting behind their club at last. Go Mariners!!!

actually i was unimpressed with the turnout numbers wise.
really good to see the whole team putting the sprints in right up to the end only downside to the game was matty s not getting his goal. robbed by a dopey linesman. even harper was saying it was a goal, and thats rare to get anything from him

Unimpressed by the turn-out, why? The average turn-out for the Mariners would be around the 7000 mark? So the club got the same as usual, that's ok. Are the Mariners still giving away free tickets?

11600; WOW, that's a great turn out. I'm really happy for the club and the lucky fans that got the see the game live. It looks like all the hard work over the last 3 years is paying off. Having 2 great Australian players in the team has really captured the attention of the Central Coast people. 11600 is a great turn out. Go Mariners!!!

Sorry AndyJ. I'm really into the Mariners, I don't have the time to post much; but I think the club is great. Why are you people down on the crowd numbers? The turnout was really good and it was against an interstate team. There has been heaps of talk around town about Aloisi joining the team, people seem really excited about it.

Ursus: Go to the games and get off the forum. That sounds like a nice way to attract fans to the game. Thank's for the advice. Why would attracting 7500 fans be so bad? The owners have millions of dollars and can easily afford to cover the costs if they had to. Ursus one more thing; why don't you call up Sea Fm and talk to Paddy and ask him why he has no idea what happened during the game each week. He talks to Laurie or one of the players each week and it is clear that he does not follow the team at all. If you could talk him into being a supporter like you have talked to me, it just might work.

Hospitality fellas!
I'm pissed I got rostered on late today and wasn't able to make it up. I saw one of Aloisi's goals at work and it was class. What a win, I swear I won't be missing another home game after this week (uni will be finally over), we're charging for the title.

I do not like people coming on here and telling us we should be happy with 7,500 fans, when they are not there, sounds like a sarcastic troll and should be treated as such.
