Ive said it before and ill say it again, Sasho is NOT a lazy goal poacher, how many times has he dispossessed a defender out of sheer mongrel grit, he set up our goal against Phoenix from it... If you actually watch him off the ball in a game you would be surprised how much work he does do, ill admit he isnt a box to box runner like Jedinak but you guys are making it out as if he just stands there waiting for the ball. Often he is the one that chases down the goalie forcing him to play the kick or clearance, this is definitely not a trait of a lazy goal poacher as described Agree Sash is not as lazy as many make out................. But it is good to have a player taking a look at everything. All players don't have to run all day. I think Matt could make a big impact at RM. He is fast never gives up can shot good in the air has a decent pass can fight for the ball. Similar style of player to Brett Emerton prior to Blackburn move.

Glory want CCM game postponed (442)
PERTH Glory have begged A-League bosses to postpone their match with top of the table Central Coast Mariners as they struggle to field a team.
Glory currently can only raise 10 players for the match after being crippled by national call-ups, injuries and suspension.
Tando Velaphi, Nikolai Topor-Stanley, Billy Celeski and Jordan Simpson are on Olyroo duty for the tie against Iraq on Saturday and away to North Korea on Wednesday week.
Attacker Leo Bertos will be also unavailable for Sunday’s match becasue of his Kiwi commitments to New Zealand's national team.
Striker James Robinson is out a thigh problem while midfielders Naum Sekulovski and Anthony Danze have hamstring problems.
Midfielder David Micevski is on stand-by for the Olyroos matches, and last weekend's double goal hero Nikita Rukavytsya could also be called up.
Hayden Foxe is still weeks away from returning after a knee injury, Stan Lazaridis suspended until December and Jamie Coyne still on his two match ban.
Glory will be forced recruit from the State league on short-term contracts if Sekulovski and Danze fail to prove their fitness.
Glory owner Tom Sage said is furious his club's pleas to the FFA for a postponement have been snubbed.
“At the moment we’ve got 10 fit players,” he told The West Australian.
“Why won’t FFA entertain a postponement of the game? What are we supposed to do? They sit in their ivory towers in Sydney hoping this will go away but it won’t.”
He added: "They treat us like second class citizens. If it was Melbourne or Sydney they'd listen. We refused to let Nikita go until we got a response.
"We've nine fit players. They told us to get players from the state league but the local league finished weeks ago. A few local players we've targeted we can't get in touch with, they're on end of season trips."
FFA CEO Ben Buckley defended the decision to press on with the fixture but promised to include weekends off for international fixtures next season.
"Tony's comments are disappointing and don't reflect the spirit of co-operation we have with A-League clubs," he told Sydney's Daily Telegraph.
"We have to have consistent policy and we have listened and we intend to have breaks on FIFA dates next season.
"It's difficult when you play across a country this size, with three time zones and a broadcast schedule that has to be conducted when we don't have priority access to venues.
"Perth are a victim of having a promising young team."

that would really stuffed up my holidays next week if they had of postponed the game. I will agree that international dates need to be a weekend off in seasons going forward

I will agree that international dates need to be a weekend off in seasons going forward Contact the FFA if its postponed and DEMAND they pay your costs. Its horseshit that they are having a cry. Sydney had to push thru it when they played Perth earlier this year, and most teams have been hit at some time or another. I understand they have injurys, but thats not the FFA's problem, no-one forced them to but Hayden Foxe lol, muppets

Agree it has been fairly consitenet so far that teams haven't been able to postpone matches for this sort of stuff.
Article makes it fairly clear that it won't happen so no need to panic yet. ;D

That's a shame for Perth, but it's not like the Olyroos game was announced yesterday. If the Glory management didn't have the foresight to enact some contingency plans, tough.

Any of you lads and lasses coming over?
Should be an intersting game - You guys always manage to beat us and whilst id love us to get that home win we all want i cant see it happening - We will have 4 to 5 players on olyroos duty and they are all first team players aswell....We only have 10 fit players for this match and we are trialling 10 local state league players of which a minumum of 2 and a maximum of 4 will be signed for this week as cover.

Just getting back to the earlier conversation about Sash in this thread, I haven't had the chance to speak to him yet at the post match function.
I'm sure a few of you guys have, just wanted to find out if he is enjoying life as a Mariner and being at the club?
He's a proven goal scorer and we are extremely lucky to have the best strike force in the league with him and Johnny A.
Can you get odds on him and Johnny one and two for the golden boot? I wouldn't mind having a lazy 50 on that.

I haven't spoken to him either, but since he's been with the club he's always got a smile on his face. I've never seen a player smile as much as Sash. Makes me think he's happy here.

Yep spoke with a mate of mine who is a Sydney FC member and he says Shsh looks much happier now then he did when he was with them. He reckons it was a big mistake to let him go. Well thanks Captain Obvious....
